Simply put, I'm just not able to handle much lately. I'm tired of reading about these awesome friendships people have, tired of reading about how great they are doing with relationships (romantic or otherwise), tired of seeing how successful people are while I'm over here stewing in an apartment and feeling trapped both here and at work, having very little friends that I feel actually genuinely give a shit about me, and just feeling completely drained of motivation to try and make things improve, because in the end I feel like nothing ever gets better for me. Reading about all these fun and awesome things people get and get to do is just pissing me off and making everything worse (and, believe me, it isn't limited to the Temple). Don't think I'm saying you guys should feel bad or anything because no one here is at fault for this. I just have a huge self esteem problem and jealousy problem and they don't mix very well together. So yeah, I may not be coming around as much for awhile. There are certain threads I still like to check but I'm going to try to stop coming here so much. |

Did you ever end up getting your GED Because if not gee I wonder why you're stuck doing nothing compared to people with an education |

I'm working on it. Slowly but surely. I'm determined to get it before my brother goes off to the military at the beginning of next year (because him studying math with me is the only thing that gives me motivation to learn it). |

Legit dude You don't need a college education to get a job (though it helps, obviously) but you actually are severely, SEVERELY limited without at least a GED I'm not going to tell you that it'll magically fix your problems once you get one But you'll NEVER fix them without one |

Yeah, I know. I mean I'm sure you're aware I work at Walmart but I'm not happy there at all. It's not just about being successful either, there's a ton of personal shit that's been bothering me lately and I feel like I'm nearly at the breaking point. |

Yeah I'm not telling you to stay or anything If this place is stressing you out, it's stressing you out, doesn't matter how or why And I know you have personal issues with your family and whatnot I'm just trying to tell you, the GED is so necessary the other problems will be easier to work out once you have it If you know that already though, at least that's one step down, the rest is up to you |

Appreciate it. Hopefully I'll slowly piece my life together, even if it feels hopeless at times. |

Don't ever lose hope, even in the darkest of times, man. If you don't feel like things won't ever get better then subconsciously you'll hold yourself back and it'll do just that. Remind yourself of the things that make you happy, cherish them and use that to lift yourself above your situation. (This is pretty much what I try and do.) Either way, I hope when you return you'll be in better place and mindset, bud. See ya. |

The thing is I'm never happy anymore. Every time something makes me even remotely happy something gets to me again and takes it away. It's like it's just not meant to happen. I don't think I've ever been as unhappy as I've been for most of this entire year. Such a shitty year, wish 2017 would get here and hopefully go better. Anyway, I'm going to bed for now, gonna probably have to temporarily remove the bookmark for this place or I won't be taking any break at all. |

;__; Sorry to hear that, Slash. I wish there was a way I could help cheer you and others going through this period of their lives up, because it's awful to feel trapped and alone like that. Take all the time you need, but remember that we're here for you when you're ready. |
