Hey! I'm Spirit! I was brought here due to a friend of mine showing me this thread, and decided to sign up for some reason! :S So, uh, some stuff about myself: Spirit Anyway, yeah! If there's anything I missed (like my favourite colour, which just so happens to be magenta), feel free to ask me! Thank you! |

Seems like you'll fit in pretty well here! If you want to give Golden Sun games a try, the first one is just called "Golden Sun" and the sequel is "Golden Sun: The Lost Age" and they're both for GBA. There's a DS entry to the series, but it's a sequel to the other two, and there are conflicting opinions about it.

Ah, alrighty then! o: Is there a particular reason why it's not so critically acclaimed as the other two? From the previews I saw of it, it looked pretty well done, somewhat-outdated graphics aside. |

Dark Dawn was an overall solid and fun game, but it just didn't mesh very well with the lore set up in the first two games, and it's divided people's opinions. Play the first two, then see if you want to check it out, I'd say.

Hello! We're nice most of the time. A little disgusting with all the weeaboo stuff but friendly. Who knows, if you start playing GS because of us it might not be long until you start watching your ecchi harem animes and claim your waifus and learn japanese. There's a bunch of visual novel fans here, think there's a thread or two. And almost everyone likes jrpgs at least a little. How about american comics? I'm kinda alone with following Marvel and DC here. |

Ahh, alright, will do! Thank you very much! Haha, yeah, I've noticed a lot of anime avatars around here! It's not a bad thing, necessarily, so long as looking at them all the time doesn't convert me into a ecchi-loving weeaboo. :S I don't follow many American comics, but I do love the Sam & Max comics that were released forever ago! They're always there for a good laugh or two. |

Hey Spirit! I'm sure Jackal will be pleased his thread brought someone else to the forum. xP Welcome to the Temple of Kraden~! You can play Golden Sun: Dark Dawn if you like! I think it's important to form your own opinions, anyway, and there is a lot to like about it. I will warn you that while it resolves one plot conflict, it seems to set up for a fourth game that never came (yet, anyway), so it ends on a cliffhanger. >.> Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age form a complete game together, though! ^_^ So I definitely recommend them! Buuuuut don't worry, playing them isn't necessary to be a member. xP |

Hey, welcome! You should totally start with the first GS game (simply titled "Golden Sun"), and if you like that, move on to The Lost Age, and later Dark Dawn. It's definitely a series that should be played in order. Of course, don't feel like you have to play the entire series if you aren't enjoying yourself. We may be a golden sun fansite, but we won't force you to play the games. And if you're a visual novel fan, I must ask: Have you read I/O revision II? |

Yes, I play lots of mediocre games, either fortunately or unfortunately! Really, it depends on the game. And alright, I'll make sure to stay away from there! Darn cats are the bane of my existence...

That really kind of depends! If you mean digital/traditional, then I'm a sucker for both, though I like the colours you can produce digitally more. If you mean in terms of what's actually being drawn, well, I always like the occasional dog doodle... I follow a variety of artists on twitter so I couldn't tell you if I had a specific taste, haha. Oh! But I usually draw (anthro) dogs and whatnot. They're a sweet spot for me. I wish I could draw actual dogs but the hind legs always kill me in every way possible. (if I didn't 100% answer your question then I am sorry) |

Dogs are great!! But I agree, real dogs are difficult to draw. I struggle with their faces, and often just give them goofy little dot eyes and cartoony looks. |
