Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Reccomend Some Movies to Me; Seriously I've only seen like 20 to 30 movies

So I'm still very young, but apparently that doesn't excuse the incredibly short list of movies I've seen.
So to get me perhaps up to speed a little bit, I'm gonna ask you guys to rec like 1 to 3 movies (of any genre or time period) for me to watch, that aren't on the following list, so that maybe I can stop feeling so left out of movie culture and just generally get more movie references that all just currently go straight over my head.
Thank you in advance

List of movies I have seen:
-The Conjuring
-Children of the Corn
-Back to the Future
-The Gift
-All the Star Wars movies
-The Hobbit movies
-All the Harry Potter movies
-I < 3 Huckabees
-The Matrix
-Silver Lining's Playbook
-101 Dalmatians
-The first 4 Pokemon movies
-One of the Yugioh movies idk which one
-The Truman Show
-All the Batman movies except for Dark Knight Rises and Vs. Superman
-Iron Man 1 and 2
-All four Alien movies (favourite, but like not the last two)
-American Psycho (favourite)
-I Origins
-Donnie Darko (favourite)
-Citizen Kane
-Scott Pilgrim VS The World

And maybe a couple others that I didn't care enough to remember, but that's pretty much all the movies I've seen in my whole life, and most of them were either 6+ years ago, or right when they came out.

Movies I have started and will revisit on my own:
-Audition
-Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
-Memento
-Coneheads
-Spaceballs

Movies I started and have no interest in revisiting:
-Cannibal Holocaust
-The Watchmen (I've seen like 85% of it)

So yeah literally anything you want to recommend I will try watching

You're my new best friend.

Bother Lemu to stream more often. She likes to stream boring crap the animated Dreamworks movies if you like those and other things.

I accept this new title.
I shall wear it proudly.

Oh what is that a thing? I thought people only did livestreams for podcasts and drawing. Huh

I actually don't think I've seen anything of that sort?

Origins

Hmm, slight horror/thriller theme I got going here:

'Pandorum' might be up your alley if you like slightly scifi, psychotic, mystery, horror dealios.

Same for above towards a movie called 'Sunshine' (much slower pace.)

And 'Prometheus', the prequel to the Aliens movies.

'Shutter Island' was also rather incredible for its own reasons.

I'll think of more laters.

That's OK! If there is a theme to my list, it's entirely accidental. Although I do really love some of the movies I have seen, a lot of my list is movies I watched as a child with my father, or ones recommended by friends.

Thank you!

Goodfellas is one of my favourites, I'd seriously recommend it unless you hate mafia movies.

I don't watch many movies myself so I'm trying to think back through the years and pluck out one that you've not seen...which is legitimately hard because my first reaction was to just spam you with Star Wars Episode IV/V/VI

On that note:

12 Angry Men
Schindler's List
And since you mentioned the Alien movies, I'll recommend it's counterpart which helped spawn decades (I think?) of cross over material: Predator

I guess you're just looking for movies which have a lot of pop culture impact, aka movies that everyone and their mother has watched.

The Princess Bride. Literally every time I say inconceivable someone thinks I'm quoting the movie. In their defense, I usually am.
Indiana Jones. You'll get more milage socially when seeing anything except Crystal Skull (most people don't think fondly of it).
Spirited Away.
I don't see Lotr on there. All the lotr movies I guess? Extended versions optional, recommended if you ever find yourself on a weekend with, very literally, nothing to do. As in, don't even want to get up to get food nothing to do.
Amelie
Pulp Fiction
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Can't think of anything else.

Don't worry about it too much though. I've never seen original trilogy Star Wars.

Ohhh, this is a list that could get pretty long

Based on things you've indicated you've liked, I would say:
Fight Club
Pan's Labyrinth
Inception
10 Cloverfield Lane

Movies that I've watched recently that I enjoyed:
Zootopia
The Big Short
The Heat
X:Men: Apocalypse

Movies that I think everyone should watch at least once:
ESotSM - already on your list
Memento - already on your list; in a strange way, these two movies are quite similar
Little Miss Sunshine
Moon

Wheey! I've became a human being!! I am very handsam!

I'll just name one movie for now, maybe come back with more later: The original Godzilla. The Japanese version, not the English dub made a few years later with some scenes cut or altered. Might see it listed in libraries or rental places as Gojira instead (that's the name the Criterion Collection version uses for sure)

A legitimately scary movie to watch.

Since I watched it for the first time with Terri last night; Coraline seems like it would be up your alley.

I think my current record is 22:12?

My servants never die

you might like Cabin in the Woods, its kind of a parody/deconstruction of a lot of horror tropes, with nods to various movies, and you dont even have to have watched them to get something out of it I feel like
