Jenna I love your paint in Paris goal. What do you think you would paint there? Learning a sword is also cool. Travel Japan. I know a lot of us have Japan as a travel goal so I recommend odigo.travel to browse natural and historic sites that would be cool to see. Career Develop my skill set through experience- right now I am so amateur and self-taught at most of what I do at work, so I'd like to better myself. Be good at what I do. make enough that I can retire before old age makes me too weak to enjoy retirement. Skills Maintain Spanish Improve Japanese reading comprehension Draw daily Make art that I would favorite if it weren't my own. Health/Nutrition Get a gym membership get swole Lifestyle/Misc Live where it snows in the winter live where I can enjoy nature marry a Mr. Kiki and have a baby Kiki or two |

I have already finished my "learn to lockpick" goal, although it is a very basic knowledge that I acquired. I still have the sword goal that was previously mentioned above. That one is a little tougher to achieve as I probably can't just buy my way to that goal via Amazon.... |

I would paint a street scene with people sitting at a cafe watching pedestrians walking home with their groceries. Which is so incredibly Paris. And the sword one is so funny. If I didn't marry into sword-ownership, I probably wouldn't. But Adnarel and I have this big sword hanging on the wall and I feel like it's my nerd duty to learn to use it, haha. |

Kind of thought about this for a while, wasn't sure what to post. Now that I'm drinking a beer and relaxed, I think I can throw some thoughts onto a post. I don't often think about what I want to do and just kind of glide through my days...I think it's good to think about some greater goals and set something up to work toward in the future. Travel (idk travel doesn't interest me as much as most but...) 1.) Take a roadtrip across the U.S., preferably with a good friend 2.) Visit Japan 3.) Visit the countries of my ancestry, so Scotland (again!), Czech Republic, Germany, and I guess Israel. 4.) Go to a ToK meet-up (if it's not in Boston) Career 5.) Continue improving to become a senior level developer 6.) Eventually become architect level 7.) Join the 6-figure club 8.) Not sure about this one, but maybe eventually found a business or be a founding member of a business. Basically have a vested interested in a company I partially own. Skills 9.) Learn and become proficient in another programming language 10.) Get better at SQL and database design 11.) Learn a second language (Spanish? Japanese? Wacky third option? Not sure) 12.) Learn piano 13.) Get better at front-end development and design Health/Nutrition 14.) Have less cheat meals per week, maximum of 1-2. 15.) Get my squat up to 285 or more 16.) Get my bench up to 185 or more 17.) Get my OHP up to 125 or more 18.) Get my Deadlift up to 315 or more 19.) Get my Row up to 225 or more 20.) Eventually, join the 1000 club (combined max bench/deadift/squat of 1000 lbs. Currently at ~620 lbs for working sets!) 21.) Sleep more, and sleep earlier 22.) Eat more, and eat more often 23.) Start actually visiting a doctor for regular check-ups and such 24.) Ditto with a dentist Lifestyle/Misc 25.) Move out to my own place 26.) Read more books (non specific, I have none in mind, I should just do it more) 27.) Try to play at least 5 new games (as in, games I've never played before) each year 28.) Continue being a godless fiend 8) Too tired to keep going but that's a good start I think! |
