Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.

I told myself that the first post I was gonna make to this site was gonna be a big masterpost of all my GS art, but oh well that will have to wait.

My closest friend and I were walking for a few hours tonight on a pretty busy street, and we came across a baby bird, wild, too young to fly, left all alone, and slightly injured. We tried to give it food, but for the most part we waited at a distance for an hour hoping the parents would come find it. Sadly, none flew by, and the sun was setting, so we knew if we left it while it was about to get dark, it would get eaten by raccoons or coyotes. So, as gently as we could, we got a box from a store that was still open, and tried to convince my family plus any friends in the neighbourhood to take it in, but alas no luck, and everyone said it was too young to survive and that it would be dead in a couple days at the most (plus any place we could have brought it to was closed). We finally went to a friend who owns many birds and we said if she could keep it for the night, we would call a bird rehab in the morning for it.
She was happy to take it, and as it turns out, her uncle owns a bird sanctuary and raises pigeons and many birds, where she is going to take it.
So it looks like our little Jenna is gonna be ok and live dispite everyone saying otherwise. (The power of optimism and persistence whoo!)

Along our way home, I found what was probably the greatest discovery of my life! So about 2 years ago up until a year ago, I was very into art with people who had TVs for heads, but I really liked to make art where the heads are cut off:

And sure enough, on our way back from the bird incident, we find someone who is throwing out an old TV (actually it might be a computer moniter)!! I was so excited and we took a quick photo of me with it as my head, and I am so exicted for all the future photoshoots this will inspire!

My nights are weirdly eventful.

Awww, poor thing. I hope it heals up. ^__^ I'm glad you waited for an hour to see if the mother shows up.
Some beautiful black-and-white birds made a nest right outside my door, and it's made me super happy seeing their chicks grow and grow and almost even outgrow the nest, now. I would love to touch them but I know that would be really bad for them/stupid, and make their parents not want them. Baby birds are so cute, though ;~;

Haha, the tv-for-a-head thing is pretty cool, I can dig it. Do you have a particular reason for drawing them with the heads-cut-off, or do you just like how it looks?

=o those look like polaroids. Are you a polaroid person?

Thanks Poui.

The best part is that you named it Jenna. Golden Sun represent! Your bird friend sounds amazing. That uncle is top tier.

Also @TV for heads, have you heard of the comic... I think it's Saga? One of the characters has a tv for a head. I don't remember if he's in Saga, but I think its that one. I'll look into it when I get home.

In the drawing on the right it looks like the pink shirt's hands have been amputated too; that intentional?

Yeah, we were hoping that it's parents hadn't given up on it, but alas...

Aw they must be adorable!
We used to have falcons (like goddamn meter-wide falcons) hanging out on top of our neighbour's house. Not as cute, tho. Slightly more terrifying.

Um, no I don't think so ahah! I just used be to into that a couple of years ago (I had to do something for class that was "inspired by another artist" and I chose Radiohead, so I think that's where it started, and mainly where it ended ahah)

I think I'm just a camera person in general ahah! However, those shots are from an Instax camera, not a Polaroid, but more-a-less the same idea. (Instax cost $1, roughly, per shot/photo, whereas Polaroids now-a-days are about $8 (ish) per shot, so I tend to use Instax when it's random small shots that I know will only turn out decent and that I have no intention of selling, obviously ahah)

Yes, I've shown Saga many times ahah

And tbh it's a sketchbook drawing and I just didn't feel like finishing it

Nice bird story, glad it found a place to survive.

The t.v. for heads remind me of a gory version of the robot from Fooly Cooly.

Oh cool. I just kinda noticed a little red rimming around there, so I thought it might be intentional.

Saga is pretty cool, I need to catch up on it though.

Thanks Poui.

From Wikipedia "Retro and Pandy, two unlikely renegades, awaken naked on Earth with no recollection of their past, but with superior physical abilities. After embarking on a brief but devastating crime spree for food, clothing and transportation in downtown Tokyo, they are captured by authorities and sent to the infamous prison called Dead Leaves, on the half-destroyed Moon."

One of them does seem to have a TV for a head.

EDIT: Seems it was released in 2004, from Japan. Style doesn't look that reminiscient of early '00s anime, though, seems more '90s to me.

Yeah all I remember is them trying to break out of prison. I watched it with some friends in highschool at lunch. It was weird lol

Your Canadian birds sure are friendly.. Everyday I go out for a walk around the neighborhood. On the other side of the neighborhood the birds appear to have set up the nests. Two minutes of the day, the birds decide to divebomb me, circle around, and then proceed for round two. They must be a different species than the birds that live near my house. A nest is in my mailbox and I have yet to be pecked at when getting the mail.

A silly anime about a boy and a crazy alien chick. Apparently a season 2 and 3 is being made.

Thanks Poui.

What, FLCL? In my opinion no, from what I remember what I watched of it was boring and unmemorable. I can't even really remember anything about it.

Yup will do no problem there lolol

Same here. I only watched FLCL because it came on Cartoon Network. Though I did like how whacky it was. I do watch Dragon Ball Super nowadays though mostly due to nostalgia and I love one of the new characters.

Other than that and oldies I remember (Gundam, Zoids) I'm not an anime person, never really was outside of mainstream series.
