Hey everyone has anyone here own or heard of retron5 reason why i ask I have plans on getting one in september. It can play Nes, Snes, Sega genesis, Sega Master System, Famicon, Super Famicon, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance. |

I know of them, and they work well enough for the most part. The more dedicated retro fan will recognize some flaws and inconsistencies in the emulation, but if you're just looking for an easy way to play your old hardware it works fine. But there's one other major issue for me, and I can't in good conscience endorse the product because of it: Hyperkin is using emulation software they did not make themself nor did they license it from the creators. That wouldn't be an issue to me if it were some kind of free project, but I have an ethical problem with it when they're selling this product for money. |

as an addition, the retron struggles to play some snes games. i played dkc3 on a retron once and it ran super choppily. not sure if that factors into your decision or not. you could prolly find a compatibility list and i'm sure the vast majority of games you could throw at it work. |
