Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Death comes to all of those who oppose me.

Ten years, and 15,608 posts ago I joined the temple of Kraden. Much has changed; most of it for the better.

(Warning, a ramble ensues)

I don't know many of you. Not in any meaningful way. Aside from Richard I don't think I talk to anyone on a regular basis. I don't know if I can say I regret that or not. On one hand some of you I would probably enjoy your company on the other hand the somewhat laid back nature of this place due to my overall lack of closeness has always made it easy to wander in and out of at my leisure. I look at some of your facebooks from time to time, and I hope you all are doing as well as the page suggests you are regardless the closeness of our relationship I have found not a soul among you to be a genuinely bad person. So when I see your victories in life I can always feel a small but genuine smile creep across my face. It's strange how often I see posts making grandiose proclamations saying how awful adulthood is and how much better highschool was but I've at least to the age of 27 found the opposite true and I hope you have to. If you haven't I hope you do soon. Life can be good but time is always cruel in it's march forward so I hope you take advantage of the time you are given while you still have it.

In the ten years since I joined I've held six different jobs, had eight different girlfriends, gone through at least some college, had four different living situations, lost both grandfathers and my mother, bought a house, got engaged, built my first computer (And my second,) gotten a puppy, and two kittens, watched my littlest sister graduate 8th grade, voted for the first time, and I'm sure I'm forgetting things. It's interesting to use this place a barometer as to how much my life has changed in what otherwise would feel like a small amount of time.

I recall a quote from the late Walter Payton "I'm happy to say that everyone I've ever met in my life I've gained something from; be it negative or positive, it has enforced and reinforced my life in some aspect." words truer about this place or any other I have not heard. I'm pleased to say that by in large it's been very positive. I don't run (literally) home from school, or work anymore to see what's going on here but I do get an amount of enjoyment from your company. My signature reads about the fallen from the group I came here with; only one do I have any idea what happened to. My memories of this place run deeply joyous in most cases even recalling doing "battle" with people like IPO I get more than a small amount of satisfaction from. I can't say that I ever felt unliked here a testament to you all in many ways as someone who was while so ingrained here was also essentially a stranger. Especially upon my return where I would say less than half of you had known who I am, and perhaps as many still don't.

I don't know how many years the temple has left at least actively. I don't know how many more posts will be written. I don't know how many more friendships will blossom. I don't know if I'll be here for the temples last day or if it will outlive my interests, but I do know this. Much has changed in the ten years I've been coming here; the temple however being here whenever I decided to log on has not. For this I am very thankful.
