Shattered my iPhone 5S (don't walk and text, fellas!) so now I'm in the market for a new phone. I generally don't follow mobile hardware very well and don't have much interest in it, so I never know what's good on the market. So, help me pick my next phone! I have no preference between Apple or Android devices. Tell me what you would get if it was time for you to get your next mobile device, and tell me W H Y ! |

I recently upgraded from my old iPhone 4S to a... 6s, I believe. Some model of 6. I like it because my apps and everything could be re-added easily through iTunes. I don't do heavy-duty computing on my phone because I have, you know, a computer. So I prefer the user-friendly, simple layout. Don't need to worry about modding or jailbreaking junk. You're more of a techie type, but if you haven't been yearning to do modifications or whatever to your phone, then maybe stick with Apple. Or if you're curious about other stuff, maybe someone who cares about Android will come evangelize you.

Valid points, and ones I agree with. Even though I'm a tech guy, mobile phones have never really interested me that much, probably much to my loss. I might teach myself to develop some mobile apps, but neither of the platforms really interest me over the other. One thing that kind of concerns me is that most phones seem to be getting physically HUGE, and those are uncomfortable for my hands. 5S was like, the perfect size for me. 6S might be ok. I'll check it out. Phone looks slick (and expensive), I'll check it out. What do you mean, Gilgamesh ? |

Yeah, large sizes kinda suck. Mine still fits in the back pocket of my girl jeans, though, so a guy shouldn't have a problem.

I am absolutely delighted with my DROID TURBO 2. It's got a nice, big screen, battery life for about a day and a half's worth of off-and-on use, and enough durability to take being dropped (which I have done a few times). Phone slowdown was a big issue with my last phone (a Motorola Razr), but I've had no discernible degradation in performance in the several months I've had this model so far. Speakers are still crap phone speakers, but not bad as far as phone speakers go. The camera is good but not great. Over all, 9/10. Point docked for the camera not being absolutely stellar. |

If it were me, I'd look into a smart watch, but that's because I [radio edit]ing love the idea of having [radio edit]ing sci-fi wrist communicators. |

I have an LG L-01F that I love, it's pretty great. The camera is pretty awesome and it's fast, but it is a bit on the fragile side... well, I dropped it once from hip level and it died, and then randomly again after that. I got a case for it, though, and things have been fine since. Battery life is pretty good too. |

Honestly just look at the video Sin Thesis (aka ninja) posted. In particular I'd look at most improved, budget, and best of the year aka MVP. |

I have a more recent model of the RAZR than Adnarel. No slow down issues for me, but both of our phones have suffered from strange hardware issues. Aside from that, I have no complaints. Awesome phone. |
