Kubo and the Two Strings is a new movie from Laika coming out this August. It looks absolutely gorgeous and I, for one, can't wait to see it. |

I have been interested. But then I saw the whitewashed cast and decided I'll wait until I can watch it on a streaming service, or Redbox it or something. |

It's called celebrity voice acting. But this movie isn't nearly as bad about it as say, Dreamworks movies. I saw this movie a few weeks back and found it really enjoyable. A friend and I were chatting about it during a car ride on Saturday, and he was convinced it had been CGI due to the fluidness of the animation. When I told him it was actually stop-motion, he went "WHAT" and subsequently had his mind blown. The fighting choreography was amazing, and the music was impeccable. Especially the credits theme. |
