Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

For those that live in Europe Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is coming to the Wii U virtual console this week. So does anyone here have any memories in playing this game?

Came in here expecting this, glad to see it was the first response.

That.

Although nothing really matched the catharsis of actually recruiting that insufferable Nu Mou with the dog nose.

Ah, FFTA. The game in which Vieras were so incredibly broken. An Assassin and a Red Mage with Summon or a Summoner with Red Magic (Double Cast) and you won. My team was always Marche and then the rest Vieras. It's been ages since I've played, but if I remember correctly, you could have five battle members? If so, then I believe I went with Marche (Ninja w/ steal), Assassin w/Concentrate x2 and Summoner w/Double Cast x2. Or actually I think I made Marche into a dual wielding Paladin, so I could dual wield the strongest swords.

I agree that FFTA2 was much better. There were much needed nerfs to Viera classes (though Vieras were still ridiculously overpowered in that game too), and the addition of Gria was pretty cool. Though it's a shame they only had what, four jobs? They were still cool though. Though just like in FFTA, my team was still pretty much Vieras. Luso, Adelle, a Gria and then the rest were Vieras. Though occasionally I did add in a Juggler for Smile.

Always disliked the Bangaa, Nu Mou and Seeq races.

It's a shame the games never came close to reaching the same level of greatness that Final Fantasy Tactics was.

I love the way that FF4 advance is more. I also have FF1&2 Dawn of Souls, and that game is incredible.

This was honestly one thing I thought 1 did better than 2. At least in 1, you can negate the laws, and they impact the opposing team. In 2, you're kneecapped by a bunch of laws deliberately, while the enemy is free to do whatever.

HyrulianJedi remembers the "No Ranged" map with all members of the enemy team starting on pillars around you

I mean, if they were good, I might have actually used one.

Also the law system is one thing I actually enjoyed about the game. The games were still piss easy, but at least they made an attempt to make them harder (especially by adding a Hard mode in FFTA2).

If they really wanted to make it hard they could've revamped the law system or made more laws apply at any given battle (which would've been lazy) but having the laws only affect you was total bullshit.

Once I realized this I immediately quit the game and never played it again. [radio edit] that.

Oh and Bangaa are amazing. Dragoon and templar up in this bitch all day erry day.

You appear to have missed the fact that Dragoon is the single best melee class without getting into Dual Wield silliness. Less so in A2, granted, because of the Jump nerf, but in the first game? Absolute madmen.

moogle or bust, kids

I remember setting up Gunners with Mog Knight skills so I could use Ultima Charge from 10 spaces away and all kinds of other fun things, and using Jugglers to keep units locked down.

Harder doesn't necessarily mean better, but in this game the effort needed to make ridiculously strong characters was so minimal and the challenge level just couldn't match up to it. Being harder would definitely have been better for this game.

More like what Crash said. Sure harder doesn't always make it better, but once you're past like the 5th or 6th story mission things get really easy, really fast. Gets pretty boring and thus not fun.
