Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

The name's SMX and i've been a fan of the Golden Sun series for sometime. My first exposure to GS was around 2003-2004-ish when I played both GS and GS2 as a kid. There was a long decade where I didn't really play GS or pay attention to the Golden Sun franchise so I was surprised to see a 3rd game come along which i've yet to play though I hear some mixed reactions about the game. Got back in to GS around 2015 after listening to various OST's of the game and I purchased the E-Shop versions of both games. Currently finished the 1st Golden Sun and i'm going to replay The Lost Age next.

I'm also hopeful that a 4th GS game comes along and that Isaac makes his way in to Smash Bros somehow (I voted for him in the Smash Ballot like 5-10 times and he's still not in the game :argh: ). Some of you may know me from Smashboards as well though i've taken a temporary hiatus from that site.

So yeah, good to see you all and I hope to see you on the boards. Came across a few GS related forums but this one seemed to be the most active.

Hey SMX! I'm glad you picked our forum. <3 Welcome to the Temple of Kraden!

Yeah, there are definitely mixed reviews about the third game, but you could still get it for cheap if you end up really liking the first two. Or just have appropriately low expectations.
It must be nice playing TLA on the e-shop version! Dat big screen.

Also always good to see more Canadians~!

Thanks guys. It's hard to believe it was so long since I played GS before playing it on the VC. It was over a decade since I last played it so it feels weird playing it as an 8 year old boy and then playing it as a 20 year old man. I find that replaying games as you grow older changes your perspective of the game and how you look at the world of the game. I've had that with OoT which I play almost yearly.

I'm planning on getting DD whenever it gets released on the E-Shop. There's not many retailers selling used DS games so I won't bother with that. I just hope Nintendo doesn't hold up releasing the game like they did with TLA.

Heard some things about the game though i'm kinda disappointed that DD didn't hold up on it's own to the GBA games. I felt that if the GS series were to thrive, it would need a 3rd game that surpassed the GBA games or at least rival it. Fire Emblem Awakening did just that for FE and the series got a new lease on life and is now the 3rd or 4th biggest Nintendo franchise. Then again, FE has the benefit of being an IP from the NES days and having playable reps in Smash Bros so maybe that comparison isn't 100% accurate.

And yes, the more Canadians the better. :) Maple Syrup rules the world! :werebarret:
