When evil arises, Marinette transforms into Ladybug while Adrien transforms into Cat Noir. However, neither know each other's secret identities. Marinette has no idea that her school crush Adrien is Cat Noir, while Cat Noir doesn't know that his crush Ladybug is actually Marinette. Together, they fight to protect Paris against the mysterious villain Hawk Moth English episodes are coming out currently on Nickelodeon, but for purist like me, finding decent english subs can be a bit of an obstacle course for this relatively young series. The first trailer that they did was 2D (and looked really nice to boot). I'm not really that big of a fan of the art style used for it now but I might check it out at some point.
