Odyssey, ya see~ Odyssey, ya see~

I'm curious since I can't remember the last time we had a ranking around here, if at all ever. So what are your top 10 favourite video game titles, regardless of generation, platform, whatever? After thinking about it for a while this is the order I'd rank mine in;

EDIT: Forgot KI:U 8D;;

1. Paper Mario (N64)
2. Skies of Arcadia (Dreamcast/Gamecube)
3. Mother 3 (GBA)
4. Trails In The Sky (PSP/PC)
5. Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)
6. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64/3DS)
7. The World Ends With You (DS)
8. Kid Icarus Uprising (3DS)
9. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
10. 9 Hours, 9 Doors, 9 Persons (DS)

They aren't necessarily the best, but each of them are definitely the most fun I've had playing in my history as a gamer. So share your own! Or if you can't list them, at least mention them.

this is TOO HARD.

I wouldn't be able to place them in order, but my list would include Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age Inquisition, The Witcher 3, Dishonored, Civ V, Pokemon Yellow, and a whole bunch of others.

Let's just wait and see what happens.

MY top ten video games list constantly shifts around depending on my mood. The only game consistently on it is The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, so I consider that my favorite by default, but beyond that, I don't have a clue.

Origins

1. Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra
2. Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht
3. Xenoblade Chronicles
4. Mass Effect
5. Dead Space...1 or 2, cannot decide.
6. The Last of Us
7. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
8. Phantasy Star Portable 2
9. Golden Sun TLA
10. Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam VS Zeta Gundam (This is normally where I would start ranting about how these games aren't localized anymore, but at the very least Extreme vs Force will be getting an english version in Asia.)

There are so many more, though.

Picking just 10 is impossible for me, so I'll provide more of a general idea of what my top 10 would look like. I'm going to bundle series together though, so they don't take up the entire list.

Hyperdimension Neptunia series
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA series + Project Mirai DX
Atelier series
Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
Final Fantasy Tactics
Tales of Symphonia
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Persona 3 Portable

I couldn't pick just one from the HDN, Project DIVA or Atelier series, so I just put them down as the entire series. I just slapped Persona 3 in there because honestly, there's 20-30 games I could easily put into that spot, so I just randomly decided on one. I could maybe make an accurate top 100, but a top 10 or even a top 50 is extremely difficult for me to make.

Giraffes are adorable.

1. A series of games where you play a bunch of people with magical powers who command armies while sitting back and relaxing and talking about casual topics while said soldiers are dying. The second game in the games that got localized is my most favorite.

2. A series of games where you play as a thief from the Procyon lotor species. The second game is my favorite in the series.

3. A series of games where you play as a fictional mammal who comes from a different planet and you have to blow things up with different gadgets while accompanied by a mechanical friend who rides on your back.

4. A game where you play as a quadruped goddess who uses the power of painting to attack way before those youngsters from the order Teuthida did.

5. The series of game about monsters who through some technological advancements are able to fit in pockets. My favorite in the series is the one where it introduced a monster influenced by the giraffa camelopardalis species.

6. This game is where you play as characters from the order Teuthida that I mentioned about when I typed about the quadruped goddess.

7. A series of games where you play as a quadruped reptilian creature who can breathe fire. Only games made by the company that named themselves after the condition that causes very little sleep count. My favorite is the third in the series.

8. The games where you play as a character from a profession who fixes structures that distributes water who goes into space and is able to breathe in space too without a specialized suit. I prefer the first game out of the two.

9. While I have not completed it yet as I am planning on only playing it with my husband, so we both must be up to it, I am liking so far of that game where you play as primates when their habitat starts to get cold.

10. A series of games where you play as a character with a profession everyone likes to joke about. I can not really pinpoint what my favorite of the games are as all have their ups and downs but do know I really like the final part of the game people like to say they dislike the most out of all the games.

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"

Hmmm. In no particular order, my top 10 probably looks something like

Dark Souls series
Mass Effect series
Radiant Historia
Golden Sun series
Medieval II: Total War
Chivalry Medieval Warfare
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Final Fantasy Tactics A2
Mirror's Edge
Dream

Most of the series I could probably break down into an order (DaS2 > 1, TLA > TBS > DD), but with Mass Effect I really couldn't. They've all got different strengths and weaknesses that I think roughly even out over the course of the series, so I can't really say one is better than the others in any objective sense.

In no particular order this is what I can think of: Crusader Kings 2, Custom Robo, Sleeping Dogs, Fire Emblem (7 or 9), Wind Waker, Europa Universalis 4, Long Live the Queen

Other than that idk, I'm struggling to remember games I played a lot when I was younger.

Edit: I'll throw in Pokemon Gold and Monster Rancher Advance 2 to round it out at 10 because I put a lot of hours in them when I was a kid.

Compressing this into just ten was painful. But my top four is always the same:

- Golden Sun: The Lost Age
- Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
- Golden Sun
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

The rest I'll have to list alphabetically:

- Dark Souls
- Dragon Age II or Inquisition, depending on my mood and the alignment of the stars
- Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
- [title=If compilations don't count, then Metroid Prime 3: Corruption takes this spot]Metroid Prime Trilogy[/title]
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

7. Golden Sun/TLA
8. Super Smash Bros Brawl
9. Dynasty Warriors Empires (or series)
10. Fire Emblem: Awakening

I'm going to number them 1-10, but generally speaking, it's up in the air as to which is on top at any given moment.

1. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call. Because rhythm game final fantasy, and the music is fun, even if Ultimate gets to being a son of a [radio edit] so often.
2. Pokémon (ANY). I like it more as the generations go on because there are more Pokeymans. Let's face it, I'm the kind of guy who would be fine with a Pokédex that hits 1k.
3. Civilization (III-V). I tried to play 1, but the thing I was using to emulate DOS was shit, so I didn't get a good experience out of it. Revolution was... not that great, in hindsight.
4. Fire Emblem: Awakening. Because ROMANSU~
5. Crusader Kings 2. WALES SHALL PREVAIL! THE WELSH SHALL RULE THE BRITISH ISLES! Also I'm probably going to have to try a start set in a time where I can do the Reconquista early, just so that I can say that I got the Reconquista completed while there was still a powerful Caliph.
6. Eversion. The music really sets the mood, and holy shit it's fun. Also, the true ending <3
7. FFIX. Yes, yes, standard final fantasy RPG, i don't care, it fun.
8. Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. U.S.A.! U.S.A.! Also, it's good to see Lincoln get to be a badass.
9. Fantasy Life. Yay I get to be a blacksmith!
10. Kirby (Triple Deluxe, Adventure in Dreamland, Dreamland II, Adventure, etc.) Because nothing is as fun as playing the child-friendliest elder god ever.

Other contenders included Fire Emblem: Awakening, Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 9, etc.

I'm sure the graphical remake of FF7 will land on this list.

edit: Fine I had to put Dark Souls on there

This is going to be tough to narrow down but since we're going with "of all time" I'll pick some ones that had a big impact on me when I was younger and still appreciate today.

1) Ar Tonelico series, but mainly 2 since it changed my life
2) Souls series, King's Field 1 & 2 and Bloodborne(it's all the same shit, thanks From)
3) Touhou mainseries
4) Mass Effect 2
5) Bioshock 1
6) Dragon Age 1 & 2
7) Tales of the Abyss
8) Soul Calibur 2 & 3
9) Xenosaga 1
10) Final Fantasy 7 & 9

I'd put Ys on here but I'd just feel overshadowed by Peytral's fanboying. Devil May Cry 3 should replace FF too, but idunno the nostalgia is pretty strong in those ones.

okay fine I'll try

no particular order because I never said I'd try THAT hard

Mega Man Zero 3
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance
Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Pokemon Soul Silver
Skies of Arcadia
Mega Man Legends 2
Zelda Oracle games
Mega Man X4
Ys Origin or Seven
Sonic 3 and Knuckles (and Knuckles and Knuckles etc)

I don't play video games that much anymore since they cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ so I figure these are probably close enough
