Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

The fact that nobody has posted this yet disappoints me. My Facebook literally exploded from the news. Anybody hyped?

Of course I'm hyped! I've been ready since ever. Can't wait to return to the crazy [radio edit]ed up world of Fallout once more.

I've always heard good things about Fallout, but I've never been able to get myself into the series because... well, Bethesda. Good news for fans of the games though. Maybe I'll give the series a shot some time when I really don't have any thing else to play.

Don't much care for Fallout, but what I like about this is that the sooner this game is out of the way, the sooner The Elder Scrolls VI can come out.

But seriously, happy for the fans. It's been, what, seven years since New Vegas?

I am less hyped than I could be. Granted, I am happy that this exists and the trailer looks awesome, but comparing Fallout 3 to New Vegas? New Vegas won out by improving so many areas, particularly the writing and plot. But that was by Obsidian, not Bethesda, and now we're going back to Bethesda. I'm hoping they'll learn lessons from New Vegas, but... it doesn't seem likely.

Bethesda makes big, cool worlds to play around in but isn't that great at filling them with compelling stuff (aside from hilarious bugs). So I could be pleasantly surprised, and the game will still likely be quite fun. But I'm not as super hyped as I was expecting to be. Guess we'll see.

Fallout . . . Fallout never changes.

(Except from 2 to 3)

Also Dragon Lord you could always just play 1 and 2 which have nothing to do with Bethesda

I'm cautious about some of the questionable design choices Bethesda will probably end up making because of previous experience with their games, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was pretty hyped for a new Fallout game since New Vegas came out a while ago. I really hope they take some notes from what New Vegas did to make New Vegas so much more enjoyable than FO3 was.

Never played Fallout? Don't care for Fallout? Less hyped than I could be? Cautious? :ohnoes:

Seriously though if you guys want a different taste try out Fallout and Fallout 2. See where it goes from there.

As long as something is good should we really care if it is post apocalyptic (zombie or nuclear or whatever)?

How come fantasy isn't played out yet? The basic concept of pretty much every single rpg ever is fantasy, swords and magic.

It's all played out. From now on we only play games where we control geometric shapes.

Wait, [radio edit]

On that note I found Fallout's post-apocalyptic setting and retro-futurism much more interesting than the medieval fantasy setting of Elder Scrolls. I think it's more important that whatever game(or any medium for that matter) does something interesting with the setting and tropes but it's a pretty subjective thing at the end of the day.

That is true. Fallout has its own style and approach. The stuck-in-the-50s theme and look, the twisted humor etc.

it's all played out and the only ones that stand out are because of game play but fallout never really goes passed elder scrolls with bullet time.

I tried Fallout 3 and just could not get into it whatsoever. This, at least the graphical style is a hundred times better than 3's. That and if Bethesda did change up how it plays, I'd probably welcome said changes.

The graphics look mostly the same to me, they just got rid of the pale green filter that was on top of everything. Not that the graphics being the same is a problem.

I dunno, I thought Fallout 3's graphics were really muddy and ugly, even for a nuclear wasteland setting. 4 kind of reminds me of a mix of The The Last of Us and Skyrim, which kudos, looks great.

Even just in the trailer, there looks to be a lot more colour. It's still post apocalyptic, but it has moments of vibrancy and brightness that almost seem more alien than the constant flat brown of 3. I hope that trend continues in more places than just the handful of trailer moments.

Pip-boy edition confirmed. Oh my god this is glorious.

Posted Image

There will apparently also be an app for Android and iOS devices to emulate the Pip-boy OS.

EDIT: Apparently confirmed that the app might has an interface with the actual game.
