Nintendo's first(?) foray into the shooting genre is inkredible. Pun totally intended. Who else has it here? I got it at launch with the Inkling Boy Amiibo and a t-shirt to boot. For those unaware, Splatoon sees you engage in 4 on 4 shooting action, in a battle to splatter the stage with as much of your team's ink colour as possible. You can dive into the ink as a squid and travel through it, not just across ground, but also up walls and such. It makes for some really good stealth action, and you also have a variety of weapons to spread ink with. Guns, chargers which are like rifles and even paint rollers! And you can even acquire gear with abilities to flesh out your skills. It's really addictive; the sort of game I keep saying I'll play just one more, and then I find that two hours have passed since I first said that. A new update came out today with the NES Zapper as a weapon. There's not much content right now but there are weekly updates in the process that will add more weapons, stages and modes to the game. If you don't mind that, and enjoy multiplayer senseless fun, try it out! You just, y'know, have to have a Wii U handy too. Oh, and there's a single player mode too. I've barely touched it because I've been too busy having fun online. Speaking of which, jumping back on right now! |

Watched a twitch earlier. Most likely will consider it and then buy it when everyone else lost interest. |

Do give the single player a shot, it's actually quite remarkable. Really good action/platforming, and the final boss fight is absolutely incredible and a display to all game developers that this is how you should make a final boss. Only about three or four hours long but an enjoyable experience. I haven't honestly played as much as I would like because, for the most part, I've been watching my brother play it. But it's great. Matches are fast and frantic, and the game is just super fun. Netcode is really good too, I get little to no lag even when playing against people overseas. Overall, the game is just excellent. Little to no flaws with the whole thing, super fun, amazing presentation... Nintendo has done a fantastic job and this is easily a contender for Game of the Year. It also spawned memes. Just so many memes. Also fanart which is amazing. |

I keep running into connection errors in the evening (est) and get booted from games even though my internet is fine for the other parts of the house. Clawford waits for e3 to come with more servers. |

I've watched a lot of game play of it, and so far I'm just kind of "eh" about it. It's fun to watch someone else play it, but I don't think I'd really enjoy playing it myself. I might consider picking it up still when I get a Wii U later this year (hopefully) and see if I'm wrong about that. |

It doesn't really look like my cup of tea, but a friend of mine is going to lend it to me once he's had his fill. It looks cute and all, but I'm not really a huge shooter fan. I'll see what I think when I play it! Who knows, maybe I'll like it more than I think. |

So as has been advertised in the sbox, I have this game, and I freaking love it. I hit level 19 in turf wars last night, gonna push for 20, as well as get the Amiibo challenges completed. I'll also be streaming my adventures. |

Almighty wikipedia said eight arms and two tentacles. Is that right? Quick google search verified that with other sources. Edit: And even if I do make changes. I am suffering such a panic attack right now. I do not think I am going to go further than this. Youtube and me do not mix. |

Well going by the prevailing squidward meme, they have only 6. However he is an octopus but some people are gonna believe he is a squid because the word is in his name. Fun fact: animators didn't draw in the other two tentacles because too lazy. |

Squidward having six, is the equivalent of many human cartoon characters having four digits per hand/foot, so never really took that into consideration. And for the four fingers bit it was out of cost and not laziness because back in the good ol' days when we did not have computers we had to draw every single cel. And we liked it! Also I learned in cognitive development that the brain can automatically count up to three objects and any number higher than that needs to have exerted effort. That's why four fingered hands don't look off unless we pay attention to them. I knew he was an octopus too. Octoward just would sound off. Or maybe the back story for Squidward was that he was adopted by actual squid characters. The squids could not have a child of their own so they took in an octopus and named him Squidward to pretend that he is a squid. The squid parents got way too many specist comments so one of the parents secretly got two arms amputated. Then they would say Squidward lost the necessary arms including those that a squid would have in a marching accident. Also Squilliam had a similar backstory to explain why he has six as well. That's why Squiward and Squilliam are such bitter rivals. One thinks the other is ripping off on his backstory. Or maybe all this theory would be debunked because Squidward's parents did make an appearance. I don't know, I lost interest in Spongebob years ago to try to see if Squidward's family has been explored. Also I think I want another go at making that video. I'll try to find some fitting classical music. I'll probably make a side youtube account so my main account of just liking and favoriting videos won't be affected in case anything goes wrong would should lessen the chance of another anxiety attack or at least make the anxiety more manageable. I will probably change that line to something else to lower the chance of smartass comments. I deleted the video and plan to move it to a new account. |

I did something really stupid years ago on youtube. Thankfully the damage has been contained by deleting that account and never turning back. I do have a youtube comment blocker. I know it probably won't be too bad if I upload to my main account but I guess the impact of years ago affects me to this day and I desire having an account I can easily abandon. But I am too lazy to make a new google account just to have another youtube account. Thanks a lot google. I deleted the video but I plan to reupload. I am at work now so can't. But to those who missed my original post, I want to do a verbose version of the US Splatoon Commercial. Here is most of the original post besides my original uploaded video as that has been taken down but I have the "lyrics" typed up in there: Most of the original post If the "Currently you have adjusted your composition into an organism with eight arms and two tentacles. " is an issue or may be one, what should I change it to? |
