Okay so I'm still kind of amazed at what happened with Amethyst and learning about her origins and the fact that the other gems not on Earth were manufacturing gems is just mind boggling. I honestly was very worried that the Crystal Gems were bad, because of the implications with Lapis and how afraid they were at being found on earth. But now it makes more sense, and just wow I'm really looking forward to more insight into the gems, and possibly them going to the homeworld? It feels like it'd be a possibility, but man.

Yeah I was worried about that for a while as well! It was pretty scary how hush all of them were about it, but with "The Test" and Steven realizing that the Crystal Gems were worried they were not raising Steven right I can understand why they wanted to keep it from him until he was ready. The whole episode is pretty awesome, I always love how they work in the foreshadowing to these things. Amethyst is obviously saddened when Pearl is talking about her "home" and how it was a apparent abomination, and it just was all building up for the poor Gem : <. \

Also a bit of thinking about it, i'm thinking that the corrupted gems are also a product of the process the Gems were using, looking at the devices and the surrounding landscape they seem to completely drain the resources from the land to make Gems, but it looks like messy process even without the salting of the earth. If Amethyst was a good product of it then maybe the "bad" gems are the corrupted gems and were a failure, thus why Rose Quartz was trying to heal them, but could not since they did not contain fractures and were just messed up from creation. This would explain for me why the Crystal Gems find and bubble all the creatures/other gem devices. They are fixing the mistakes the homeworld gems made in the process of creating new gems like Amethyst and brings back to stuff that has been shown about the corrupted gems with most of their designs being based on snakes, acid, and other dangerous things, if you look at the design of the Gem creating device it's clear that it is based on viruses. I hope Steven can fix the corrupted gems if this is true.

I noticed a lot of people didn't like Jasper and that makes me really sad cuz she was really cool and hot and I think a really good device to show just how AWFUL the Homeworld Gems are. We'd only gotten Peridot as an example, and even she's too much of a dork to really be classified as evil tbh, so having Jasper there really sunk in that Homeworld Gems are actually not good people as we might have been led to believe. I don't think it'll be a thing where the others and Steven can convince them to back off or whatever.

ALSO, the fact that Garnet was confirmed to be a fusion is so amazing, and I love Sapphire/Ruby. They're so cute and I read an interesting theory about how they look so different in comparison to other fusions we've seen (found here). Lapis sacrificing herself to save Steven and the other gems broke my heart cuz she wanted to escape SO BAD but now is stuck at the bottom of the ocean forever keeping Jasper there. Overall, I think it was such a good way to end the season and I'm so happy that all this stuff happened.

I personally love Jasper, she plays her role perfectly to show just how awful the homeworld gems are compared to the crystal gems and pretty much handily dispels a lot of suspicious behavior the crystal gems have. If we were left with just adorkable Peridot as the main example of a homeworld gem then I wouldn't have been that concerned :3. Also that theory <3 it makes perfect sense to me, Garnet's "Stronger than you" song shows they are pretty much almost a perfect couple, especially since they can so easily fuse, they fight together as one person Garnet's will is a combined effort of them working in tandem <3.

I really hope Lapis gets redeemed :<, only regret I have about the finale because I wanted her to join up with the crystal gems : c, but this was one of the best season finales for a show I have watched in a while <3.
