When animators are stressed for deadlines and paid little, its to be expected. You gotta look at the big picture to judge animation/art quality.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya wasn't great, and was way too long. Needed to cut out some of the shipping pandering, and tie together better the dealios with Haruhi and Yuki. Felt like two stories crammed into one movie. i mean I liked it, sleeping bag part was cute, but still...
