Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Awesome! It's been a while since we've had some news about it!
And yeah, that's why I tried to get everyone to play it.
Some bits just REEK of Golden Sun (namely the entire plot, plus the Megiddo unleash being EXACTLY THE SAME).

How is this Gold...

No. You know what, nevermind. I'll just nod my head and pretend I understand.

Role, Bravely Default has quite a few things that are VERY similar to GS, the music is done by the same guy, etc. etc. It just gives you that...'feel'.

Mmm, I would disagree. It reminds me less of Golden Sun but rather the earlier FF titles, which were created by members of the team that now made Bravely. Actually most people are of the same opinion, Bravely is the modern day FF game we never got to the point where SE were all "Why is this handheld game selling better than FFXIII? Let's shift our focus from hereon".

On topic though, glad to see more information for BSecond out. Hopefully more will follow.

Yeah, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is like Final Fantasy...Without the FF.

How so? From the 1-2-3-4~~ hits system, to the multitude of Jobs. Even the jobs names, abilities and costumes themselves. Support abilities, Mastery levels, "Special Moves" are essentially Weapon Skills from FFXI and even the plot centers entirely around Crystals. BD screams FF more than any recent Final Fantasy has done in the past few years. You could literally replace the name Bravely Default with Final Fantasy and it would be accepted by the fandom instantly. Sure it doesn't have Chocobos or Moogles, but the rest of the game is about as close to something like FFV as you're going to get (bar simply playing FFV).

Apologies, I inferred sarcasm. Text is difficult to derive wit from, occasionally.

They even reference that in the title once you get to a certain point in the game. The subtitle loses its leading F's, and you get the true meaning behind it.

The joke kinda doesn't work as well overseas, though, where they changed the subtitle to require additional letters to be removed...

The change startled me when I first noticed it. It's actually kinda creepy since the letters turn a very dark red color.

I know, right? I'll probably be looking for BD2's subtitle, and seeing what hidden message may lie in that one.

inb4 it turns out that we were the bad guys all along and the bad guy was right, and the bad guys we thought were the good guys that were actually bad guys but that were fighting for the good guys anyway were really the bad guys.

Wheey! I've became a human being!! I am very handsam!

yeah that's definitely not correct

anyway all the proof you really need about BD being more FF than anything else is the fact that when they started development on it, it actually WAS a FF game; it was intended to be a sequel to The Four Heroes of Light

Sakuraba. He helped to compose some of it, and is actually playing in the band in the concert.

He's not credited anywhere as a composer, as far as I can see. And him being one of the three organ players for the soundtrack's performance doesn't really qualify it as "being done by him" (especially when Golden Sun doesn't have any live-performed music).

That's hardly a trope unique to Golden Sun. Hell, there's a whole page on it in TV Tropes.
