Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Excellent, you know that emoticon. I can tell we're going to get along already.

I've been tempted to get Smash, buuut I'm currently in Japan, and I don't have enough download space at the moment. And I fear the lag, Guy. I do.

What else do you like?

Yay, welcome! Everyone has Smash right now. I might have to cave and buy it. Well, welcome to the Temple! Feel free to socialize as well as play games. =)

Do you Kirby?

Kirby was my main in 64, and in Melee, and especially in Brawl. Yet, I'm still trying to get the hang of him in this...

There are... other things to like?

I play video games a great deal, play and design tabletop games, do some occasional role-playing, and infrequently watch screens as they display animation of Japanese origin. (I finally got around to watching Gunbuster, which was awesome.) Oh, yes, and I also like to eat meat, eat pizza, run, and repeatedly lift heavy objects. I:

What games do you like?
There's quite a few tabletop players here, so they'll be ecstatic.
Temple has a long history of roleplaying here, but also an infamously bad attention span when it comes to supporting more than one at a time. xD A popular one now though is a big crossover/interdimensional fighting tournament RP we have called "Rumble," soon entering its eighth iteration. Signups are going up on November 15th, I believe!

Oh, and there's lots of anime fans, too.

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"

Oh hey, totally missed the bit about liking tabletop games. Neat. There's not a whole lot of us here, but enough to have organized Temple games in the past.

This welcome is so warm--almost too warm.

Thank you for that, assuming this isn't an overly elaborate trap. o_o;

Games?
In terms of vidya, some of my favorite series include Zelda, Elder Scrolls, Pokemon, and Klonoa (aside from Smash, obviously). Other favorites include Hotline Miami, Meteos, Solar Striker, Disgaea 2, Kirby Air Ride, the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy, and Joy Mecha Fight.
In terms of tabletop games that aren't role-playing games, I'm a sucker for adventure board games like Talisman or Arkham Horror. I end up playtesting many of these sorts of games, too...
In terms of tabletop games that are role-playing games, I've been suckered into playing Pathfinder and various versions of DnD too many times, which sometimes works out. I usually like coming up with homebrew systems when I GM.
In terms of sporty-ball games, I really like walleyball and racketball, even though I'm terrible at both.

I might get into role-playing here, but... I'm generally not a fan of tournament-centric or fighting-centric text-based role-plays. I'll probably sit that one out.

It should probably be noted that the RPing in rumble is entirely optional, I'm going to be hosting it this time around and I've more or less never touched the RPing side of it. The fighting isn't done through text, you make character statblocks and they're run through a program in a round-robin fashion. It's fun times all around.

As Satty said, signups'll be starting in about a month if you change your mind.
