Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

I'm gonna cast a tentative hold on Him from Powerpuff Girls.

It started at the END of the 90s at least!

Looking on wikipedia, I'm surprised by how many cartoons I remember from my childhood that actually started in the early 2000s. Grim adventures of billy and mandy, kids next door, and samurai jack are all post-1999. Courage the cowardly dog just barely makes it in, first airing in 1999. Megas XLR is the last one I recognize on the wikipedia page, which aired in 2004. I think that was about the point I started transitioning into anime through adult swim, a few years later discovering online streaming.

Question: Are we counting cartoons that technically "finished" before the 90s but were still being shown? Because I think some of my favorite cartoons from my childhood are originally from like... the 70s lol

I'm not really sure actually. EEnE didn't air until '99, but I'm still counting it, so...

...I feel like being Katz for this, I really do. We'll have to see now, won't we?~

EDIT: Man, Courage the Cowardly Dog was Q4 1999. That's...skinning it pretty close.

Slime will without a doubt go with someone from Spongebob.

I'll probably go with Batman, or Terry's Batman in Beyond.
