Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Just read Kotaku's review, and now I'm super hyped. >_> But RIP, can't play it -- unless I replay DA1 and DA2 on the 360 over here in Nippon.

Don't bother. You gotta use dragon age keep anyway

Can you explain this keep thing to me? As in, you can't transfer data manually, you must use the keep? And if so, how does it work between PC/the Keep website and say, a 360 or PS4?

EDIT: NVM, looks like it's yes and it does.

THE HYPE IS REAL.

Got the game today, enjoying it so far. As I understand it, Keep basically lets you custom create the storylines of the first two games so you don't have to play through them every time you want new details in Inquisition. Although having started my game, it does seem like Keep is the only option and that there are no direct imports available. Keep should be able to transfer to consoles as well as PC (though I think you need an Origin account? rip). You just need an internet connection to allow Keep to transfer your world state to the game.

Also minor note, since I'm playing with the default world state (and a female qunari mage, hells yeah) but it seems that one detail for the default state is that Anora was made queen after DA1. Not sure what happened to Alistair.

I've started watching a lp of it, and it does look pretty amazing. But I really don't want to play it on seventh gen, and want to wait for when I get a PS4 for the full purdy graphics.

Keep is indeed the only way to customize the game with your past decisions. It'll be that way going forward, from what I understand, which means that keeping your worldstate cross-platform will be possible.

The game isn't out in the UK until Friday :c But my collector's edition has already been shipped, yay, and I'm hoping it'll arrive before then. Staggered release dates :argh:

Any given magical fantasy RPG

Elves, dwarfs, orcs, qunari etc whatever!

Picks human.

What is wrong with you.

I want this game, but I haven't even played DA2 yet and would like to replay DA1 as well. Is the second game really as bad as everyone claims it is?

Also, there are way too many games this year that I want. Damn.

I read about this coming out on the newspaper into the city today. Holy crap, I didn't realise it was out. Hell to the yes.

Psyched because I might actually have time to play it, my exams are over in a week. I wonder if I still know how to game.

DA2 isn't an awful game! It's just not fantastic, especially when compared to the original. My main problem with it is the way it reuses assets :U

There were some things about DA2 that I really loved, but yeah there was a lot of problems with it too.

I didn't mind DA2 at all, the map reusing is the main problem; it being easier is a secondary thing. Personally I still had a ton of fun with it, and I think the battle system is a lot more fun. It's more hack-and-slashy as opposed to the point and click DA1 style thing. It's still a Dragon Age game, so it's really solid and it was a blast. The fully-voiced protagonist was a great touch, as are the personality metrics (it tracks what responses you give, so the more you pick a certain response the more you'll act in that style in cutscenes and so on).
I'd definitely play it, if just for the experience.

Ok, I've powered through the game (Because Sleep is for pussies), and without revealing any of the main plot:

I am currently devoting all of my time that isn't already reserved for grad work toward building a PC that can run this, despite the fact that I have little idea of what I'm doing. And I want both that PC and this game immediately.

I could shell out half of that PC's price for a PS4 or Xbox One, but I've missed out on too many moddable games over the past decade to even consider going that route.

Good choice, Asphodel!

Thanks for spoiler-tagging whatever that is Seccy. I'd never power through a Bioware game on my first playthrough, though.
