Even if it's actually hard to bypass that kind of defense with two swords, you'd think that Kirito would have other tricks up his sleeve if, again, he's come all this way by himself.

- I mean look at his "you made me assume my ultimate form" mile-long stare he gave Kirito after he wins. Sure, he wins the duel and Kirito is now part of his guild, but Kirito didn't actually lose. After all, Heathcliff had to hax his way to victory! What a cheater! He's probably a closet beta tester, too! CHEATER CHEATER MASTURBEATER.

Huh, where have I heard that argument before?

- Come on Kirito, all they did was dunk your old uniform in white paint. Stop crying.

- TRAGIC BACKSTORY TIME. I'm guessing this is where the inspiration for Episode 3 came from.

- Let's talk about why Kirito avoids guilds, one more goddamn time. Kirito himself cites that his presence in a guild would cause it to crumble for a myriad of reasons, but the biggest one is because Kirito is too secretive about his power level. Because "waah I'm too powerful for my own good" and shit. Him joining Asuna's guild, as well as the minotaur fight in the last episode, should be a sign that he's moved on from that incident. However, his lack of trust towards his original guild is only a compelling reason to avoid guilds if he were to continuously join guilds that were weaker than him. Of course, since Kirito is perpetually overpowered, it may actually be the case that all guilds were much weaker than him at this point in time. Wow, SAO's shitty power fantasy actually spawned a half-decent explanation this time. I feel sick.

- Kirito makes a move to embrace Asuna back, but keeps his hands firmly planted on the mattress. A sign that he's not emotionally prepared to return Asuna's love, and a sign that he's still hesitant towards bringing people back into his emotional circle. It's a nice touch, I admit. We almost never see any glaring character flaws out of Kirito.

- Well, to balance that out, let's put in a condescending head pat to completely negate the emotional impact of the previous shot.

- Aren't you a little too old to be playing computer games? Also, a wild Kuradeel appeared!

- "I'm sorry about what happened" haha no youre not

- Kirito's teleport crystal is confiscated on a test mission with Kuradeel, a person who has shown to breach guild protocol to his own ends. The ominous *atmospheric noise* Yuki Kaijura likes to do in literally everything she does isn't helping to make this more subtle.

- As hackneyed as this particular sequence is, it signifies that Kirito no longer finds comfort in his lonely playstyle. He's come to rely on Asuna by this point and definitely misses her company (and her [rainbow]Perfect Waifu[/rainbow] quality sandwiches)

- You can spike a potion without the UI figuring it out? I mean, poisoning the food is a classic betrayal tactic, but it makes no sense in the context of SAO's apparent "fairness" that Kirito touts every now and then. WHERE IS YOUR FAIRNESS NOW!?

- Kuradeel more like Kiradeel.

- Wait, I thought players felt no pain even when taking damage. What the [radio edit].

- God, the lengths this show goes to in order for its villains to remain villains. Or worse, make them "more evil". I am informed that there is a scene near the end of the anime where the villain is literally drinking Asuna's tears. Come on.

- Ah, I was right about Kuradeel's allegiance to the PK guild. How is it possible to be part of two guilds at once? If it's a skill specific to Laughing Coffin, that means that SAO actively supports the act of Player Killing. Wow, SAO. Way to be fair to the people who actually legitimately want to get out of the game.

- Speaking of legitimacy, don't MMOs usually have exploits and shit your can abuse before the admins eventually patch it? How come we've never heard of those yet, even after two years of consistent playtime?

- Let's show Kirito's critical health bar to tease at him actually dying even though he's not actually going to die.
