Episode 24: Mother's Rosario I honestly don't know what to say. I was expecting to come out of this anime differently. Like, I know people have said a lot of bad things about this show (me included), but with the stockholm syndrome and overanalyzing and constantly looking at the bright side of things, I was under the impression that even through all the faults of this show I'd still appreciate it as something that's at least popular. That it was just a simple, basic story that got way more popular than it should have. But I'm still dislike this show, despite finishing it. It's not even a mild dislike. I pretty much think this show is a frustrating piece of work. The second season alone has sucked away two years worth of my attention and I'm just confounded that I was able to do it, and that people like this show, and a whole bunch of other things that I can't seem to articulate right now but maybe you get the point. This last arc was the show's greatest attempt to do something decent with its characters, and I honest to God wanted to see this show get back on its feet and deliver something compelling. But as I've written, I disagree with almost all the decisions this show has made. There's very little to redeem. what happened to me all these years of watching this shit i was just a boy why this why |

What a ride. While it's true that I enjoy SAO, mostly because of the LN's, reading your episodic breakdown of the anime and all its glaring faults (which, admittedly, the LN shares a lot of) has been really fun. And yeah, it's really not that great of an anime, which makes its wide-spread anime-based popularity that much more odd and annoying. The next arc in the series isn't particularly good to begin with; if they end up animating it... well, I'm sure it'll be entertaining one way or another. |

Never heard it in English, never want to But I'm gonna go with Leaf and say watch Log Horizon's instead. It's great. No idea whether or not its English dub's any good though. |
