There wasn't enough time for each character to breath, especially notable for Chris whose development felt very half-hearted and poorly executed in comparison to Tsubasa's, which I thought was very well done. And as already pointed out, much of the cast no longer have any development issues to work with unless we retread old ground. (Chris feeling like she can't protect shit? Hibiki having issues fighting others? Been there, done that.) So I'd be fine with some of them getting dropped, albeit that's difficult when each of them has a very devoted fanbase that will scream bloody murder if they don't return. At this point, they should probably just leave Symphogear and work on something like a spiritual successor. But hey, if Season 4 and 5 somehow works past the issues GX had, I'm all for it. At least we'll get great songs out of more seasons as always.
