Yeah, Kirie is pretty typical villain-material. I wasn't too big of a fan of him in Zero although he's more interesting in FSN.

As far as Kirei goes, the anime didn't do anything wrong there. Now in Fate/Zero he's developed enough for you to like him, but apparently not everyone does? I never heard of people hating Kirei before if they've done either Zero or HF until this topic.
