That fits Saber pretty well. and thus Gilgamesh finally made a post that doesn't bash Saber. I don't think she's seen much of Saber in action at this point though. Draco pls, Waver is the best. Sorry not every guy is ripped and intelligent like you want them to be. Seriously though, I loved Fate Zero personally and it's pretty much the anime that got me into anime so I'd definitely recommend it to someone who isn't too big on anime(depending on their taste of course). The main reason I liked it was the characters though, the way it focuses on each character and their goals made me have a hard time deciding which one I wanted to side with. Plus characters that are both "good guys" but are conflicted over the means to the end have always been interesting to me so Saber and Kiritsugu are cool in their own regard. Like, I watched Occult Academy a while back, and it was definitely a mediocre show. (Also, it was only 13 episodes.) I can agree with this, a show can have plenty of bad qualities to it and still be "good" because of other things that it does well. Hell, I loved Symphogear but I won't deny there's quite a few things wrong with it. EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention I actually didn't like Fate Zero much at first because of the overabundance of characters, especially since it throws them all at you in like, the first episode.

So far it reminds me of Game of Thrones, only anime. That's LoGH. Pretty much the only thing Fate/Zero shares with GoT is a fantasy setting. Also whenever someone dies, they do so pretty brutally. That does kinda create a similar atmosphere. It's more the fact that all of the characters seem to be unlikable people whom I probably wouldn't care if they died, but I guess at least one or two might turn out to be sympathetic, maybe. Maybe Sabre? And I liked beefcake guy, kind of, and wimpy bug guy doesn't seem completely bad either. Oh so it's not plot related then. That makes sense, I don't particularly care if characters are assholes or unlikable as long as they're interesting, but I can understand how that'd be annoying. Also, like other people have said I'd argue there are certainly characters that become sympathetic and/or 'likable'. After the first two or three episodes it's certainly hard to tell who those characters are, though, especially since the first is an info dump and the cast is rather large to try and digest in one or two episodes.
