Being "teenage" isn't really a negative thing, just a genre observation (and I'm a little tired of that genre, but not nearly enough to stop me from enjoying this). But yeah, I'd say it fits in with that as the target audience:
- All the main characters are probably going to be 15, so in terms of age, they're 15. It also externalizes the teen temptation to "[radio edit] the system" through a demon/creative side, and the idea of having a demon tied to you at all times to make you "special" is very indicative of teen stuff.
The conflicts in the characters tend to be focused around teen issues, beyond the initial school setting:
Aya has no friends and hates her life, and we saw she was isolated in the school setting.
Gilgamesh is just finishing his school and is entering the workforce, anticipating an eventual meeting with the "boss" after many years (though I'm sure his demon is going to have something to say with that :awe:).
Forest girl seems the "popular" girl, judging by how she was bullying Aya, has a dorky/stuttering guy lusting after her, and how she turns on a major flirt mode with Gil/the cute and nice nerdy guy.

Wrathia -- even her name feels a bit teen -- is the cool/in control role model for Aya, and so far her old empire hasn't received much development. All we know is that she and her husband were in love and that was enough to rule their galaxies. So far no mention of socio-economic structure or how that empire actually worked -- but it is early, and besides, too much of that drags down books in the "adult" "genre."

tl;dr character ages, themes, personalities, concerns, and archetypal gloss seem to match conventions usually associated with teen fiction/media

BUT, that interpretation is simplistic, since it's just looking at the comic through one particular lense and I've left out other stuff (the aforementioned pulling a drawer out of your chest, THE PLANET EXPLODING as a story hook, the classic "get blasted out of something and impaled on a spike" (though lol @ship crashing straight down and getting rocked out the side), etc). You could see different things in it depending on how you looked at it, I'm sure, this was just one of the ones I noticed.

And naturally, you can be analytical about something and still enjoy it. <_< >_>

Well, now Gil's death was shown, and it looks like a new major character is about to be revealed. I'm wondering how exactly Gil "survived", and how exactly he met Nevy in the first place. This character is obviously one that works for Titan, and has a silhouette on the character page.

Also, each character corresponds to a shape of sorts. The characters are representations of the seven deadly sins, but do the specific shapes play any more of a role? After all, it's the shape in their eyes; in addition, what about the character that aren't part of those representations? There are other characters with associated shapes, but their place in the story obviously hasn't been defined yet.
