Story: 100 years from now , it is possible to instantaneously measure a person's mental state, personality, and the probability that a person will commit crimes, all through a device installed on each citizen's body called the Psycho-Pass. When this probability, measured by the "Crime Coefficient" index, is too high in an individual, they are pursued and apprehended�with lethal force, if necessary. This task is performed by a special team of potential criminals called Enforcers, who are supervised by police officers known as Inspectors; the Inspectors ensure that Enforcers perform their duties within the constraints of the law. Enforcers and Inspectors employ special weapons called "Dominators" that are designed to fire only on those with a higher than normal Crime Coefficient. The story follows Unit One of the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division. (C/P from Wiki) It is produced by Studio I.G. , written by Gen Urobuchi (you know, the guy who did PMMM) and the characters are design by Akira Amano (KHR). If you guys haven't heard of it give it a watch, it's fantastic and it's pretty deep like Puella Magi so I would really appreciate if we can get a discussion going.

It presents with a society that is pretty damn chilling to the bone and it throws out a lot of book reference that I think you guys would find delight in. Good animation and pretty boys and girls is a bonus. As well as a pretty fantastic and likable main lead.

I think Psycho-Pass was being compared to Minority Report but I haven't see the other to make much of it myself. It sounds like it at a glace. Pretty boys and girls is always the way to go in animu. It's like the saying 'Sex Sells'.

True Name: simplechild	I've been following it since it first aired. It's a really good series if you set aside the fact that the premise isn't exactly original when compared to Western dystopian fiction. I mean, look at all the books you see the characters reading. It's totally on purpose, but in a pretentious in-your-face way.

Even if it was related I feel the representation was too heavy handed and way to literal. It wasn't really fun at all, minus a OH I READ THAT THING I KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON kind of moment.

True Name: simplechild	Okay, that's the Psycho-Pass I know and love. ty ep 20. Also, I took way too long to notice that they kept adding to the second OP in the later episodes. Mostly because I was being distracted by all the "'CAUSE I FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL". I CAN ALWAYS SHOW MY EVERYTHING TO YOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUU

And yes all of the 'AND I FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL' At least this eps clears up one of the mysteries of PP. He is dead. Decomposed. Poor guy. I liked him. also Akane is so BAMF I can't even. Still that deal will probably back fire on our poor baby.
