Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

How does Pinterest differ from, say, Tumblr or Reddit or other social media aggregators?

I'd rather be outside.

There's a higher proportion of 45-year-old women.

Haven't used Reddit or Tumbler, but Pinterest is probably more domestic. It's popular with young women (21-35, [radio edit] you, falsenarel) and has a lot of fashion, food, home decorating, wedding/engagement ideas, fitness workouts, nature photography, inspirational quotes, etc. The front page has rows and rows of pictures + their source for just about anything, but most commonly what I listed. I mostly use it for science education ideas, fashion ideas (if you want to know how to wear that atypical jacket that's been hanging in your closet for a year, you will get ideas here), DELICIOUS RECIPES, and random other things.

Here's a link to a certain super fabulous person's collection of pins.

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"

It's essentially like that old Facebook app, Pieces of Flair, isn't it?

I loved Pieces of Flair. I was sad when Facebook nuked their design and Pieces of Flair fell to the wayside.

nope, my 50-year-old mother browses pinterest. It and playing Farmville are her primary pastimes. This leads me to believe that it's probably more like 35-150

My mother listens to Megadeth and Queensr˙che. I am very grateful for this, because Megadeth and Queensr˙che are/were amazing units.

My mom kinda likes Firefly, but other than that we don't really have anything in common.

My mom watches a ton of movies... that's about it. Apparently she takes an astronomy class now though, which is kind of neat.

Also, nice pinterest stuff Jenna.
