Oh, a couple more - Xenogears is overrated. The mechanics are clunky/dated, there is no map for most areas so it's easy to get lost in some towns, disc 2, etc. It's still a good game though. - Xenosaga is much better than Gears. It would be better in every way were it not for Episode 2. - Xenoblade is probably the weakest of the Xeno titles by far. Except XS2 of course. |

It kind of did, but it was done poorly nonetheless. Mostly because normal battles take way too [radio edit]ing long. |

On the topic of indie games, this looks exceedingly legit and I want to buy it. http://www.npr.org/blogs/codeswitch/2014/11/21/365791351/updating-centuries-old-folklore-with-puzzles-and-power-ups |

Xenoblade is enjoyable, but not as "10/10 best game ever" people claim it to be. Can't compare it to other Xeno games though. FFXIII, while not without flaws, isn't *that* bad. |

I'm trying to look at indie games as games instead of indies. I either like it or not, just like I do with any big blockbuster game. Lo and behold, I've come to enjoy a lot of indies that way. It's too bad there exists such indie racism. I'll never understand why people dislike indies only because they're indies. If a big company did the exact same game everyone would praise it and you know it. |

CoD: Advanced Warfare is, by all means, an enjoyable and mechanically sound experience as is it's MP. I hate Skyrim. HATE it with a passion. I prefer Max Payne 1 over 2. I thoroughly enjoyed Brink and thought it actually achieved a lot for what it was. Cave Story is overhyped. Put Transistor on ^ list as well. I can't enjoy or get into FF7. 8 is still my favourite game in the series. |

Indie games and others like this are mediocre at best because: -no replayability -while the premise is usually interesting, execution can vary wildly from fun to just flat -usually too expensive for the amount of entertainment that they can provide. 10+ for 2 hours is a waste -story presentation tends to be iffy This includes Limbo, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, This War of Mine, Papers, Please, Stanley Parable, probably some others. Oh yeah, games that employ tl;dr text dialogues like TES and Divinity should be burned at the stake for being tl;dr. No, I shouldn't have to read an entire book, sometimes literally, in order to get on with the current quest/mission. Games like Candy Crush and Clash of Clans without the microtransactions are actually alright games Brawl casuals are fun as [radio edit], more fun than Melee casuals, if they exist at all now. And when I say casuals, I mean all items allowed, every stage allowed. Fire Emblem not making every character viable via their growth stats is bullshit. There is also nothing wrong with being able to farm as in Sacred Stones. LoL started to become the worst moba far earlier than season 3 or whatever. When they removed global ultis is when it all started to go downhill. Racing games are more fun than people give them credit for |

but you don't need to have stupid unbalanced FE13 growths to make a FE character viable dagdar and nimue are the biggest proofs of that :p |

Well... It's one of those acquired tastes, not unlike MMORPGs, where you have to find a game within the genre that you actually like among the many you probably won't... |

I think the only "indie" game I've even bothered to play recently was Journey. God that game is pretty. Brawl is better than Melee. Better music, better stages, more characters, etc. Also, tripping > wavedashing. Every FE character *should* be viable. Then again, I'm a filthy casual that prefers personality to stats. [radio edit] your Low Turn runs. I personally don't see the fun in simulation games like Forza or Gran Turismo. Would you technically consider the Burnout series as racing games? |

The first time I went through FE7 I had a level 15 Marcus and a level 7 unpromoted Hector. I think I deserved to get wrecked at the final chapter. |

I learned pretty quickly to not use Marcus as anything more than a meatshield. Love that the Jeigan characters are becoming more usable. Seth was beast in FE8, and Titania was a pretty solid unit in 9. I prefer the arcade style games over the more realistic ones. I'd rather play something like NBA Jam than 2k14. |

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"

On this note, I should say that I don't think "too easy" is a valid criticism of any game unless its difficulty was part of the marketing. And even then, difficulty is nebulous and very hard to pin down, so good luck supporting a claim like that in situations where it's not blindingly obvious to everybody. |
