Has anyone else here seen this? It's a 29-episode Street Fighter 2 anime, with most of the characters making an appearance, although a few don't. It seems to be one of the most obscure series ever. Started off with great animation and everything, but at around episode 16 or so, the quality noticeably drops with each episode. Must've had a really low budget. There are a couple episodes where nothing really happens for a couple minutes, just panning the camera around the background with music playing. Fights also tend to re-use the same animations to the point of absurdity, especially in the final fight. Despite how slow the last half of it is, though, I enjoy it, and I give the series a watch about once a year since it's relatively short. It also has a good soundtrack. If you enjoy Street Fighter, I suggest checking it out sometime. But the real reason I made this thread was to see if anyone else has saw it, since I've only ever seen one other person (aside from my brother) that has watched it. |

I've seen it. I don't think it's particularly obscure though. And yeah there's some wonky stuff going on at times, they definitely ran out of money at the end. Why does it seem like most anime does that? I mean I understand overloading the first couple episodes to get people to watch, but it seems like they don't know how to pace themselves after that and they just end up with a disappointing ending. |

Yeah, though I find the short-running animes usually have good endings. The ending to this anime was disappointing, to say the least. Ryu and Ken say their goodbyes, and...that's it. Hardly any closure. =/ Would've been nice to have one extra episode, at least showing Dorai's recovery or something. |
