A comic, essentially. About drow - basically, elves who went underground and became ashen-skinned rather than fair-skinned. It's got an interesting bunch of characters. It's been going on for several years, so catching up is a time-investment for those looking for new comics to check out. Like most, I only check it once every few months to get caught up and present. so my ulterior motive in sharing this is to use the thread as a place for me to keep my place via links. Like I do with Gunnerkrigg. I suppose it's a sort of political story, in a number of respects. IT's also very militaristic; the basic idea is the drow empire is crumbling under the weight of the many many factions that are all seeking to take the supreme power of the expired empress for themselves. Keeping track of some of the characters can be difficult, if you read it like I do. It's well-drawn and the coloring is fairly good too, though some of the earlier chapters haven't been colored because they didn't have one at first. Give it a read! And until now, I thought I was the only one who ever knew 'bout that webcomic... I gonna elaborate on one of Ulta's warnings, if anyone is interested on reading it: while the Webcomic series is over a decade-old, [title=with the art's remarkable improvement process cluing the real chronological order]the first eight chapters has been scrapped and remade for a second time since five years ago[/title], so an Archive Binge is not as a big task as expected of a 2001 long-runner unless you want to include all [title=which some of the old ones are no longer canon and only one is required to read in order to understand a certain twist]sidestories[/title] and comic contests. Other than that, it's mostly a beautifully dark work IMO... |

Thank you for clearing that, Astra, I was unaware of some of that information. |
