And speaking about crossovers, I have mentioned before that I want to do a Pokemon/Wreck-It Ralph crossover with the WiR characters as Pokemon. I even have one idea for a story with "Obliterate-It Oshawott". If only I can actually think up a plot different from just "It's exactly the plot of WiR, but with Pokemon replacing the characters, OH YEAH!". Little help?
Hard to be original if Pokemon are just replacing the WiR characters. Why not have the WiR characters adopt Pokemon as pets instead or even relate to some of the species such as Ralph understanding when Absol as a species are going through or something because the Pokedex entry for Absol states that people harassed them due to beliefs that they caused disasters. Absol can even work will with Vanellope for similar reasons.

Candle Head is fond of Litwik.

What Pokemon goes will with Felix? I know Minccino (or is that the evolution?) are obsessed with making sure everything is clean but is there a Pokemon who is obsessed with everything being "repaired"

But yeah, those are just my thoughts.

Edit: Actually another thought I had. The WiR universe treats the characters as actors. Would Pokemon be seen as animal actors?

You may be right and bring some good ideas at the same time. WiR characters as Pokemon may be good for something like fan art, but not for entire stories. The adoption thing IS a good idea, though. Hmmmm.....

Yeah here's some of the Sugar Rush racers drawn as ponies for example: http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/324/6/2/my_little_sugar_rush_part_1_by_alisonwonderland1951-d5llodw.png

If this was adapted to a fanfic, it would be pretty hard to be different other than putting in horse puns.

Edit: I'm not into writing fanart but I did think of an idea. A kid needs to have the Ds charged. Uses the powerstrip which connects the arcade machines. The game was also left on (DS in sleepmode) and one of the Pokemon from the party wanders into Game Central Station. Someone takes that Pokemon in as a pet. Meanwhile the owner of the DS comes back to take the completely charged DS but sees one of the prized Pokemon from the party is missing and starts blaming other consumers in the arcade for it. At Game Central Station, the characters need to find a way to convince the "pet owner" to give the Pokemon back and find a way to return the Pokemon to the DS.

Feel free to take my idea if you like it.

CO Lash, I have a better idea for the crossover.

This or this Japanese Pokemon arcade game somehow ends up being imported to Litwak's Arcade due to popular demand, and that's how the Pokemon end up being in Game Central Station. Somewhat easier way to go...

I love how whenever someone brings up a question about a cameo who seems to only be in consoles or handhelds, Japan always happens to have an arcade game that cameo was in. The fandom assumes Litwak imports the cabinets for cameos that otherwise is only prevalent in consoles/handhelds.

Yeah I guess that is more practical than the DS being plugged in.

Also Reimu, the Pokemon's name is spelled "Litwick". *ruins the joke*

Name of karts from other racers learned from a post in the TVTropes forum

Even more Sugar Rush episode ideas from /co/ which also has spoilers and therefore hilarity ensues

Odyssey, ya see~ Odyssey, ya see~

Saw this movie earlier today. Man, it was an absolute blast! Loved spotting all the different nods and cameos (a young girl near me and my buddy squee'd when Sonic showed up, stuff like that made watching this in a cinema all the sweeter) and everything that was original worked really well and fitted alongside everything else. And the credits montage was absolutely fantastic, not to mention the film's premise. In fact, as a whole it reminded me of Who Framed Roger Rabbit (one of my favourite films ever); it wasn't just a love letter to gaming, it managed to tell a great story within that letter as well. I give it many stars~

Wheey! I've became a human being!! I am very handsam!

I first thought, since M. Bison was the first to mention "going Turbo," that it was going to be some kind of joke on the fact that Street Fighter 2 had so many different arcade iterations, two of which included the word "Turbo."

I also wish less of the movie had taken place in Sugar Rush. Too much candy aesthetic without enough gamey-ness.

They apparently had a game world based on the Sims and GTA where Ralph would go to

Yeah we got the Blu-Ray a couple days ago and that's in the bonus features. The scrapped scenes were kind of funny. And who knows, Crash, it could have still been a clever reference since they had Bison do it, even if its meaning to the plot was different.
