Well, I can see why, in a way... VN spoilers Her route isn't depressing or sad like the others... It's mostly just strange. The fact that she disappears and Midori comes in can't really be explained, and this may start pointing Riki and Rin closer to the Secret of the World. They'll probably hang on to Kud and Haruka till later, as their routes really pull on your emotions. Kurugaya is probably going to be next... Wonder how they'll handle that...

VN/Clannad Anime Nope, that argument is completely invalidated, as they did Fuuko's first in Clannad, and it was the only depressing route in Clannad. Excluding After Story of course. I can almost guarantee Haruka's is next, and Kurugaya's will be last. They haven't even started on Kurugaya's route yet. We've been introduced to Haruka's and Kud's already. In any event, I'm much more concerned with how they're planning on handling Rin1/Rin2.

Of course, since I'm biased, the common route + girls' routes are better in the VN. Still need Kurugaya's and Rin's routes and Refrain to be animated which should happen in season 2.
