Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

I really want the game, yes, but I also want to wait to get the version with the expansion packs later on...

HOWEVER! Depending on how I am financially, I may wind up just getting Skyrim, and later upgrading to the GOTY version!

You're wasting your money if you get a console version

PC version or bust.

bro, pc gaming ftl. The interface, the hunched over the keyboard, the losing the functionality of the pc which can do anything except when it's dedicated to the game, even with alt+tab

Actually, this time around it was developed with consoles in mind, rather than PC. Console version may actually be worth considering.

Also, I'll just leave this here:

I'm debating getting it right away. I played Oblivion and enjoyed it, but became frustrated with the system.

Then I loaded it up with OOO, started a new game, and had a great time.

I recently started again with FCOM, along with some other mods, and have had an absolute blast.

So I might wait and see if the game needs any major game-changing mods first.

I wanna give this a try. I played a bit of Oblivion at a friend's place and found it interesting. It's a shame that all of the races were so butt-ugly in Oblivion.

If I get it, I'll go Argonian, it's what I played as in Oblivion.

Fffff....so many games I want to get and play. Portal 2, Saints Row 3, Skyrim, Dragon Age: Origins...I swear the video games are conspiring against me.

I'm aware it was developed with consoles in mind; Oblivion was that way too (and was worse for it due to the bad menu interfaces that resulted). Sure, right now it may not seem like the PC version is the vastly superior choice, but once expansions, DLC, and whatever small patches to fix major bugs are issued, your console version will always be the same. Meanwhile with modding tools that are provided (for free!) by Bethesda, the PC version can only continue to improve in so many ways; graphically, fixing the countless bugs they decide aren't "worth" fixing themselves, high quality user-created content, mods to the gameplay system if necessary (for example, using a mod to alter the way enemies leveled up with you in Oblivion was almost absolutely necessary for an enjoyable experience because they did it in the worst way possible originally), etc.

also lolbane why would you mention interface

Because I hate any kind of PC interface. I'm not going to call it clumsy, but it is unwieldly to me. There's nothing like having preset face buttons, triggers, etc. Not to mention, I don't know how long it's been since you've played on a console, but we get patches too. Fed straight to us when we fire up the game. Which is actually a problem because now developers think they can ship unfinished games out the door, but that's another issue. Admittedly, PC DLC is often free due to Microsoft being a bunch of money-grubbing, penny-pinching, cock-sucking, [insert list of bannable insults] berks, you HAVE to charge for almost anything on Xbox marketplace. So, you get that one, but we do get DLC, and it is often paid on PC too, since developers like to get paid for their work. Anytime an expansion comes a long, I doubt it isn't there for console as well. The only thing you have is the user base. Yeah, you guys can fix tiny bugs, and mods and shit, and objectively I don't have any kind of argument against them, but subjectively I've always avoided them. The modding community is great, but I wouldn't give them the award for "Most Organized", if you know what I mean. Not to mention so many mods don't work with others and you really can't be sure of what goes with what until you've tried it, and the fact that I like to play the game as it was made. Was level scaling shitty? Yeah, it really was. I played anyway, and I enjoyed it anyway. The only mods I would really be interested in would be like, big heads or some shit. Because lolz.

Anyways, that's my take, enjoy and then walk away knowing your opinion is better. :awe:

You're not afraid of the dark, are you?

Take it on good faith, the console version is actually pretty good. I just pre ordered it from Amazon for the xbox.
Now, a bit of silliness:
Three to five day shipping brought the total to $75.
Two day shipping brought the total to $77.
One day shipping brought the total to $79.
Release Date shipping (which will have it arrive by tomorrow) brought the total to $66.
So, I could either spend $79 to get it tomorrow, or $66 to get it tomorrow. Herp derp.

To be honest, I bought the PS3 version of Oblivion on release day. Then I 'got' the PC version two years later, I wanted mods and such. I did the same for the Fallout games.

......The game is going to be so awesome. I CANT WAIT! :ohnoes:
