Has anyone watched this? It's a crossover between the 80s and 2003 TMNT cartoons (and near the end, the Mirage Comic Turtles make an appearance as well). It also kind of wraps up the 2003 show, but I feel as if there could be a sequel. I think it was a pretty good movie. It's like an awesome fanfiction that was turned into an animated movie. The 2003 characters were potrayed pretty much perfectly, and the 80s Turtles were too, for the most part. I don't like 80s Leo's voice, though, and I feel that they acted a bit out of character at times. Also, the 2003 Turtles didn't spend long enough in the 80s Turtles world; they were there for around five minutes for the whole movie. Ch'rell Shredder was really awesome in this, and is even more cold and ruthless than he is in the actual 2003 cartoon. Judging by Karai's comments at the end, I bet he's still not done though. I also think the 80s Shredder was kind of out of character, but it was fun seeing him and Krang get knocked around like flies by the 2003 Shredder. =P And seeing pretty much every incarnation ever of the Turtles on a bunch of projected screens was really cool. They basically tied every TMNT universe into one in this movie (including the live action Turtles). Anyway, that's my mini-review. Overall, the movie accomplished what it tried to accomplish very well, and Ch'rell coming back didn't really feel like a cop-out like I thought it would. Thoughts on the movie? |

Yeah, it's great. I love how they parody the darkness of the 2003 series juxtaposed with the goofy old series. The fact that the need to save April from a giant banana is routine to them. And the best part was the dark/gritty comic book original versions. Even 2003 Shredder seemed afraid of them. EDIT: I won't spoil, but the fact that 2003 Shredder was taken down by who he was taken down by, that's one of my favorite things ever. |
