Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Penny A- *shot*

In seriousness, Modest Medusa is pretty sweet, and what I've read of Captain SNES so far is pretty awesome.

Actually, many webcomics finish, Seccy. Narbonic ran for six years, and wrapped up on the six year, on the dot. So yes, you should all go read it, because it's finished and all sitting there waiting for you and everything.

If you ask me, a webcomic that has a storyline should absolutely have an ending point in mind when it begins. Even if while writing the story you start to move in another direction for a while, you had better always have some kind of ending in mind. Otherwise we often end up with a piece that's disjointed and has no clear theme, with unresolved/contradictory plot points, etc.

Like a certain video game series?

I realize I don't really read webcomics. I used to follow 8 bit theater but then I haven't for such a long time and do not feel like catching up.

Yeah, I agree with that.
Too many have no clear end goal in sight.

*nod* The reason why many end up with rambling, incoherent storylines is that they start out as "gag-a-day" strips, and sort of evolve a story as the author realizes people enjoy storylines, but didn't really have one planned ahead of time. Granted, that sometimes works out, and generally isn't much worse than the author that has a long, complicated storyline that they give up on halfway through, leaving a lot of questions unanswered. But yes, I agree, it generally works out best if the author has a story in mind, and an end point, and works towards it.

There are far more webcomics than I like to think about. So yeah, that's not happening anytime soon.

I'll have to check out Narbonic as well when I can. Also, I agree with Crash about the plot thing. Although Wally was kind enough to say what I wanted to so \o

We should give it a go anyhow.
There's a list on TVTropes [Webcomic long runners].

Okay, at first I was super excited when I saw this topic but then I realized that all of the webcomics I read are BL so really I have nothing to contribute. I guess I like Black Adventures, but lately it's strayed out of my zone of interest and everything else I read has too many dicks to post.

EDIT: OKAY SHH THIS IS BL I KNOW but I think it's really good, and it makes me laugh every time. Read at your own discretion.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Order of the Stick, I like that one too. Even if it's a bit wordy for my taste at times.

No... though it's working towards it, slowly. So in another ten years or so?

Also, for one that updates regularly, and probably isn't going to end anytime soon, Schlock Mercenary. It (as far as I know) doesnt' have a definite end, but it's consistent about being good, and it has Footnotes!

Yeah nah I'm just poking fun at your insistence on not reading/watching anything that isn't finished yet. =P
