I personally have a hard time with long animes. I really prefer them to be 50 episodes and under. Fairy tail is really the only one I have gotten into that's longer than that. Naurto, One Piece, Inuasha, and Even Dragon Ball Z-GT. I loved DBZ until after the Cell Saga, dispute liking some of the villains because it felt like the story arc had run its' course. Much in the same way Inuasha did. Inuasha is one of the worst because it felt like the bad guy escapes the same way every time. I was wondering if anyone felt that some animes just drag on for forever? |

I despise Naruto. For its length. And confusion. ._. |

Yeah, the shorter ones are better in nearly all cases. I'd probably have a difficult time getting into Naruto if I hadn't been into it since 2007. |

Long animes drag on like that because it's profitable to both the creator and the people who publish such creations. There's no real reason for to end an overly popular series when its existence has successfully been raking in cash for such a long time. Bakuman discussed this in one of the manga arcs as well. |

There are some series that would be better if it was extended by 10-20 episodes in fairness though, but had to end for the same reason that long animes live forever, money. |

I generally avoid long animes, just cuz I get tired of sitting through them. Especially if there's a lot of filler arcs or something. The only long one I actually sat through for a long time, was Inuyasha. I was a huge fan, but it got very boring, so forget that. |

InuYasha, to be fair, would have been excellent if it had been done entirely the way the last second (InuYasha: The Final Act) was done: they compressed essentially a third of the Manga chapters into 26 episodes. If the entire thing was like 80 episodes, rather than around 200, it would have been much more bearable, and actually exceedingly enjoyable; and usually I find series longer than 26 episodes to be too long. InuYasha has enough content to fill up 80 episodes and feel full and exciting. Unfortunately, it tried to extend that much longer, mostly because the anime kept catching up with the manga and they didn't want to cancel the series (until the did and then had to wait years until the manga was done before going back and doing the last season the right way). |

I am okay with some series being long like Gundam Wing for example which I really liked. I also like Avatar, but I am not sure if people count that as an Anime or not because it's not from Japan. |

Well, manga wise, some of the best manga out there are long running. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has over a thousand chapters and is still interesting. |

I liked Gundam Wing. It's one of my all-time favorites, but I never got to watch the entire series...I mean, it used to be on Adult Swim when I was younger (I think?) and I sort of got into it. But then it just...faded away. Maybe I should re-watch the entire series. |

The only long anime I am still watching is Bleach and Naruto, but that's only because it has been a ridiculous amount of time since I started and I would hate quitting after wasting so many years >_> But yeah, I usually love 26-50 episodes anime because there is less filler and less unnecessary side tracking. |

I would highly advise that Soopy. It's very good, I actually had to do the same thing with most of the toonami shows. Outlawstar, Gundam wing, and G gundam, Card Captors, Reboot, and a couple others. |

Pretty much everything I go out of my way to watch is 13-26 episodes. The only series I've watched fully that were longer than that were G Gundam and GaoGaiGar, being 49 and... 57 episodes, respectively? Something like that. It'd take some heavy convincing to get me to watch anything longer. |

I don't like series over thirty episodes. There are exceptions, but for the most part shows that go longer seem to have bad pacing. Besides, it means I can watch more shows.

I have a hard time finishing your standard 25-26 episode animes, there is no way in hell I can finish a long one. Surprisingly though, I plowed my way through fma:b, but that was because new episodes came out regularly and I could forward to it =p |

I usually prefer the shorter series as well, if only because it feels like I make more progress that way. I mean, I just finished watching Madoka over the course of three sittings, and that was a full, complete, and highly satisfying anime to watch. By contrast, some just drag on forever and feel like too much of a chore to enjoy. 13-26 episodes is best, but I'm willing to allow for more if need be - Code Geass was 52 and Gundam Wing was 47-49 (don't remember which), and both were excellent. Perhaps the only stupidly long one that I would bother to sit down and watch would be One Piece, if only because I actually like that when it's not been ruined by 4Kids. But I still doubt I would do it. |

DBZ manga is great but the anime is repetitive as hell and it's dumb :/ Bleach is over 200 episodes now. No lie it was so painful to watch the bount filler arc that when the next filler arc came I just skipped it |
