I liveblogged some reactions in the writers' chat, but I'll put my overall verdict here: thoroughly enjoyable. The characters are true to their personalities, the plot is pretty uncontrived, considering that it's a tie-in movie meant to introduce a new line of merchandise, the humor was intact, and the musical numbers, while nothing special, were inoffensive. Basically it was at least as good as the better tier of episodes, as long as you can get past the different character designs, which grew on me a lot over the course of the movie. The pacing's pretty good and the love interest stuff didn't overpower the plot. The focus was still squarely on the friendship of the six girls. So yeah, good time, watch this if you're a pony fan. New season has so much weirdness in a good way. Anyone else been watching? Edited by Dracobolt, Mar 11 2014, 10:57 PM.
