And loses their license for Yu-Gi-Oh! This is priceless. I really hope this ends poorly for 4Kids, honestly. |

Wow, that's really something. o_O Wonder how it will all turn out. Regardless, 4Kids is terrible. They have absolutely no respect for the original material they get given and don't deserve to own the licenses IMO. |

Hmm, I thought we had a topic already on this cause it happened several weeks ago. In the time since that lawsuit was filed, 4Kids declared bankruptcy, by the way. Also lol4Kids hate bandwagon, half the shows that got people into anime were only in English because of 4Kids |

According to Bulbapedia, 4Kids just filled Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but it shouldn't effect their partnerships. |

Bahaha, that's actually kind of funny. Though it kinda sucks for the people who might lose their jobs cuz of this lol But maybe that's not important with so much hate against 4Kids

My favorite dumb 4Kids criticism is that they changed the rice balls and whatever in Pokemon to other foods frequently. |

^Because changing the colour of a black character to another colour because it 'invokes racism' totally makes sense, mirite? Stuff like cigarettes and death I totally understand. But a lot of their changes come off as pretty silly, TBH, like how they change an iffeminate male character into a female. It's not nessecary and kids are hardly gonna get signals from it. I think they should only handle certain types of anime, like Pokemon and the Kirby anime. One Piece and Dragon Ball Z are way too violent for 4Kids to handle however, and so their quality massively degrades due to the large changes. Just because they bring shows over here that make people get interested into the type of media as a whole, doesn't mean their dubbing is brilliant. We can be thankful we heard of the media that is anime through 4Kids, but they're a poor example of a company that dubs anime. Clayfighters is the game that got me into fighting games, should I consider that game brilliant purely for that reason? Of course not, and it's a poor example of a fighting game when you get right down to it. Heck, my interest in anime came largely from Dragon Ball Z and Tenchi Muyo back in the day, shows that were dubbed well and with proper respect and care. :U |

You mean the second dubbing of DBZ was good. The first one was horrendous and gave us things like "It's OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!!" Not to mention making up things like Bardock being a scientist who invented artificial moonlight. >_> |

lol, thinking that the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise is still worth enough money to make getting in legal trouble worth it. |

Well, considering YGO is one of, if not the most popular TCG around... >_> |

The TCG, sure, but what about the show? 4Kids doesn't get any money off of the game, that's all Konami's. |

True enough, but the TCG's massive popularity has made the anime fairly popular, last I checked. But then again, YGO does have a pretty vast competitive community, and many of them disdain the show for the bad decks and strategies used in it. (plus the whole fact the very first series completely threw the rules of the game to the wayside but that's besides the point) Then again, I haven't really been following YGO for the past 8 months or so, and only have a few friends who still play/watch it anymore, so... I'm pretty sure it's fairly popular with the younger audience though. |

The anime made me sad. I got the Kuribo and trap cards that Yugi used to make himself basically invincible through reproduction, but the way they did it in show was just impossible. False advertising, I say! |

![]() It's only for the CW version though, I'm pretty sure on Nickelodeon he's still black. And of course this all only applies to DBZ Kai, not the original run. |

In the pokemon anime, Ash's Pikachu beats Brock's Onix. My faith in anime's ability to maintain the actual technical facts in TCG's and the games is very poor. No way in HELL a pikachu would ever beat an Onix, even if it out leveled it by 20. |
