I'm sure it's improved but I can't help but think they're a little biased because they saw it in theatres. I'm just waiting on them to come out with the DVD releases of the movies seeing as I'm not really close to any of the screenings whatsoever, can't imagine it'll take them too long but does anyone know exactly when they're being released?

Looking at the other topic, you also dislike the ending, which isn't something everyone likes anyway, so.

It's precisely because she thinks she's boring/useless and is naive that she is the one who can take that final step and do the unthinkable. She's the archetype of the Lamb, or the holy fool. Like I said to Moose on Skype, if you think of Madoka as a symbol instead of a character, as a Christ-analogue, the role she fits within the story, she's actually a fantastic "character." She bears everyone else's despair so they don't have to and transcends to become a kind of a god. And it's even semi-believable. What she's doing is a form of time-control, and she already has threads tied into many separate realities -- so transcending spacetime isn't that hard. And it's not like she wished to overcome entropy, which would be truly godlike. If anyone wants to suggest an alternate ending, go for it. <_< I still find she's more interesting than Mami, though that might be because Mami just doesn't get much screentime. Sayaka's still my favourite character, then Homura, but I liked Madoka a lot more by the end than I did at the beginning. And she does get some development, via the "white lie" thing her mother told her. And I love how they picked that up in one of the endings where Madoka says she doesn't have any Grief Seeds, and then when Homura is distracted, leans over and gives her the magic. So a little bit of bad in order to achieve a lot of good... I think her taking that as "one person's suffering" in order to save many is fantastic. I really do wonder what's going to happen in the third movie. xP And yeah, Madoka's reactions to everything are very realistic.

Boyd, are you sure you're not just eyecandying her? Though, her weaponry is definitely badass max
