about the concept movie I'm pretty psyched for it. I've always been interested in ballet and stuff, and that angle seems a natural extension of some of the threads included in Rebellion (opening, transformation sequences, Nutcracker witch, and the ending sequence).
I think it's both Tutu influence, judging by Akuma's similarity to Kraehe, and also to that source - Swan Lake, since we've already seen the Nutcracker referenced in Rebellion.
I'm always happy with dance influences because I love dance, but I'm interested in how it ties into the greater concept or mythos. From what I understood of the concept video (not a trailer as I understand it, but more a collection of ideas/moods???), ofc happiness, despair, wishes to God, and so on are still major themes. Also something about cats, so many cats, which maybe ties into Madoka's initial wish somehow?
I wonder if Hitomi will actually contract this time.
Also that Sayaka wearing the Ocktavia helmet is sooo hype as [radio edit], I literally cannot even
The weird thing rising hugely from the earth is too Evangelion for me >_>

Spoiler: click to toggle I'm hoping Hitomi contracts. Magical Girl Hitomi would be great. Though her dialogue doesn't make it sounds as though she has; she just knows about magic existing and is trying to nullify its effects for some reason.
The one thing I haven't seen commented on is Madoka's line about "Are you all fairies as well?" I can't obviously be sure of this, but I had assumed that those "fairies" are other magical girls that became part of the Law of Cycles. Homura split Godoka in half, but the god-half is still out there, presumably. The Law of Cycles may still be partially operational, so those "fairies" could be the magical girls she saved trying to get her back. That was my take on it, anyway. Mami being stronger and seeming to have an idea of everything going on may be the result of those "fairies" picking the fighter with the best odds of beating up Homura. They may have even given her a part of the Law of Cycle's powers, which would explain the similarities in her pose to Madoka's ascension in episode 12.
But of course, the really important question is: will the Clara Dolls be involved? I love those freak children, and I want them to do things.
