I believe that is the purpose of using the blanks here - to make you think about the situation, coming to the conclusion that if anyone makes a wrong move, they could all get killed. Additionally, the phrase "I'll kill Tohsaka before Caster will" could be taken as an idiom, as in trying to move in that situation is so stupid he oughtta kill her for it. I seem to be feeling awfully satterrible today.

LOL, I only just finished the prologue in F/SN. You could be doing worse. So yeah, this is pretty interesting so far. Archer's a total bro and Lancer's the kind of character I think my teenage self would have fawned over had I read this back then. No verdict on Saber yet. The servant system is pretty cool, and there seems to be a lot of potential for gratuitous historical references, which is always a plus in my book. On the other hand, I didn't like Rin too much, so I'm glad we shifted perspective once we got to the actual story. Also, this VN is prosaic as hell. So much text that could have easily been edited for length. But whatever, I'm a Golden Sun fan, so I guess I shouldn't complain. For the record, my computer froze for about a minute before loading that post-prologue FMV. This machine is really that old.

And yeah, Nasu IS really wordy. That's kinda where we get "Nasu'ing" from. But when you consider that basically "two guys release a visual novel," I'm inclined to forgive some flaws. But yeah it's longer than LotR. >_>
