Is freaking amazing on an epic scale. I got this game through gamefly today, been playing it for a few hours, and I am absolutely in love, once again, with the Castlevania series. |

I've only played the SNES one and the N64 one, and both of them were so long ago, I barely remember anything about them. I have Symphony of the Night on XBLA. I need to play it. |

The only thing I really remember about Castlevania was, if Dracula was a boss, he'd be ridiculously overpowered. Anyway, I looked up this game on youtube and it looks sweeet

I played Castlevania I and II on NES, none of them on SNES, Circle of the Moon, Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, Order of Ecclesia, Lament of Innocence, and now I'm playing this one. Though, after doing a bit of research on this one, I'm seeing a lot of "This game is a restart for Castlevania, everything in previous games never happened in this universe". Wonder if that's really true. |

Looks badass. I played Circle of the Moon, Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow and loved them all. I should try this sometime. |

Indeed, Lords of Shadow is a separate continuity from the rest of the games. Also you've missed the two best Castlevanias--3 and Super 4. For 3 you need to play the Famicom version though (there are translations out there I believe) |

The only ones I haven't played to my knowledge are Bloodlines and Rondo of Blood. |

Other than what Crash already mentioned, if anyone owns a Wii, I'd recommend "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood" for the PC-Engine. It is really good (in pretty much every way possible), and it shows where "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" got a lot of it's ideas and graphics from. |

And if you don't own a Wii, just download a PC-Engine emulator like I did! |

I actually think my PC-Engine emulator has gotten more use than any of the other emulators I've used in the past year. >_> |

The original game is unlockable content, as well as SotN. Also, I'm pretty sure RoB is censored a bit in both the Wii Virtual Console version, and the PSP version. |
