[radio edit], car accidents are frightening.

So about five hours ago we got into a car accident. Basically, the other driver had a stop sign but she thought it was all way because my mom slowed to make sure she didn't rush ahead. We went forward and then BAM we're spinning 180 [radio edit]ing degrees and we're on her side of the street and the airbags are out.

And then she's panicking and we're just disoriented and all this shit and shit and [radio edit] I can't really explain this well but [radio edit] it was SCARY.

Doubly so because I was trying to keep the cool head and be a go-between for my somewhat English-impaired mother and all the other people (the other driver's husband, friends, two tow truck drivers, ambulance, 911, etc. etc.) and wow what a [radio edit]ing ordeal.

I'm sorry, this probably doesn't really need a topic but it's five hours later after the hospital and police and EVERYTHING and I am still shaking and uhh...

yeah. Mruuw. What the [radio edit]. I need some sleep. And to stop shaking.

Oh, and we're okay, by the way >_> Doctor said mom's probably just bruised and possible minor concussion and something or another like that and now we have a rental car and the tow truck guy was REALLY NICE AND AWESOME and uhhhh I'm just gonna shut up now

Thanks Poui.

My mother had a fender bender somethin' like two years ago, where some guy rammed into the back of her car, not even too fast, either, and it's still [radio edit]ing over her life with the nerve damage and shit it did.

I'd get checked out anyway, just sayin'. But it's a good thing you guys came out relatively unharmed.

D: about the event in general.

Nothing to siege here, move along.

Oh wow. I've been in two accidents before, but neither of them were bad enough to send the car spinning like that. Glad you're ok.

If it keeps affecting you, yeah, you should go see someone, although I tend to dislike and distrust shrinks, so I recommend talking to friends first, they'll do their best to help you out, and only seeking "Professional" help if that doesn't help.

Wheey! I've became a human being!! I am very handsam!

Jeez, so if the other driver thought it was an all-way stop, how friggin' fast was that driver going that you spun that much and got moved all the way into their lane?

Glad to hear you're okay, Sun. D: I was in three car accidents myself as a youngster and they are pretty scary stuff. ; ~ ; It's nothing new for people to still feel the effects after such a thing; my godmother got petrified of driving when she was involved in an accident. A good sleep will help relax you, so just take it easy, okay? *hugs*

Wow, Sundancer, that sounds really bad. *hugs* So glad you're alright. Must have been really hard to be the go-between after such a big shock, but it sounds like you did a good job. Get lots of rest so you're not all burned out from the ordeal. ;_;

the only car accident I was in was around my third birthday and I thought it was really cool because dust fell from the ceiling, so I was "it's snowing!" and my dad was "[radio edit]..........yeah.... it's snowing...."

That's really scary... I haven't ever been through something like that. *hugs again* I'm just so glad you and your family are okay!

It was actually apparently pretty slow speed - she DID stop, she just started up... er... early. or something. I think it was more a combination of us travelling forward while she hit the rear passenger seat side that did it or something, I don't know. I didn't really register the actual crash, just the impact and what a mess it was after we'd stopped.

And thanks guys >_< I'm feeling a lot better today after a sleep and stuff. No more shaking and whatnot. Mom's alright too, though her head and left side are still hurting.

Man, my first post was so scattered. >_> Sorry, mruuw.

Well you sound ok you type ok and you're not [radio edit]ing of any major injuries so you're probably fine. Just find something to calm yourself down, maybe take your mind off of it for a couple of days and you'll be right as rain.

Please.
She is already checked out. They told us there would be soreness and some minor pain because she was tossed around and the impact was on her side. They told us to go back only if it's getting worse, and she's not getting worse.

And yeah, like I said, mostly alright now, Shads. X3;

I was in one six years ago. It resulted in back pain that required me to find a way to lay down without bending my back.

Okay. Because that's basically what they told my mom, but it turned out she had something sitting on a nerve or something and two years later she's still got numbness and stuff from it, so I'm a bit paranoid about it.
