So, I've had no problem accepting the insane badass that is Alex. The Chessmaster of the Golden Sun series, who possesses the majority of the Golden Sun's power. Able to bear the light of the Apollo Sanctum with apparently no protection. Psynergy that lets him not only warp, but fly freely. If he were a party member, you could be all like "STFU puzzles, I'm already standing next to that djinni/treasure chest/area of general plot device." ANYWAY, in the final battle, exactly why do you have to fight Blados and Chalis? I recall that Alex told Matthew & crew he said he would deal with Blados and Chalis. So... why are they in the final battle and not smoking piles of ash? It's obvious they didn't obliterate Alex, because aside from the complete blasphemy that Camelot would have invoked, Alex actually talks to Matthew after defeating the Chaos Chimera, while trying to activate the Apollo lens. So yeah. Did Alex let Blados and Chalis go for some reason? I can't really see why he would do that after betraying Tuaparang unless that entire scene was staged or something ._. ... I'm confused. |

It's possible Alex wanted to be somewhere else when the switch was flipped, so he decided to let Blados and Chalis go and warped off to where he wanted to be. (I think Belinsk) He probably just wanted to let Matthew and co. actually reach the place where the switch is. I'm sure he knew Matthew and co. could handle Blados and Chalis, considering what wimps they are in battle. >.> |

You'd think Alex would simply dispose of the two Tuaparang and take as few risks as possible. Although I can see why Alex would want to be in Belinsk during the activation of the Apollo lens. There were many hints the people of Berlinsk had gained light psynergy, after all~ Edit: Would Alex even know how strong Matthew was at that point? |

Yeah, this confused me too. But Inb4 Angel Alex. The more I think of that, the more I want it to be the final final boss of the games. Though perhaps final Superboss would be more appropriate so he's actually a challenge >__>. And Alex may have known from periodically watching Matthew's progress from somewhere we can't see him. Or he could have assumed that since Issac got fairly powerful in a relatively short space of time that Matthew will have too. Or he could have known that Blados and Chalis were all talk. |

... so if Alex did assume Matthew and Co would simply pwn them, why did he even bother telling them he would deal with them? o_O |

Probably just to vanish/make them think he was on their side or something. That part of the game did get confusing. x_x Perhaps Blados and Chalis ended up just setting a bunch of minions on him or something. |

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"

This, I figured. It's Alex we're talking about. He has no problem using both good and evil people to his heart's content and then tossing them away like so much refuse. That's what I figure he did with Blados and Chalis, let them think he couldn't hold them off any longer while he got somewhere safe. |

Alex needed to allow Matt to get to the canon thing first. He held them up as long as he felt comfortable, but when they started to get closer, he had to get out of there. After all, how else is he gonna gain the powers of light if he's not at the Luna Tower when they shoot the cannon? |

... so basically we would be looking at a GS4 with Alex controlling Light as well as Umbra psynergy (according to Gwee, the warp psynergy is Luna aligned.) Sick

Alex is now going to be a final secretboss in the last golden sun game. You have to first beat the game with all djinn, summons, and the ultimate weapon; then after credits, when it will reload into whatever town before the final boss, you have to find some obscure cave, use an herb, or otherwise mundane item to open an invisible door, and then beat two dullahans to enter the dungeon... yeah i'm too tired to continue. |
