Temple of Kraden News: Welcome to the Temple of Kraden! ------ All worshipers may enter the Most Holy Place in single file, reflecting on the bountiful blessing Kraden hath provided unto him or herself since their last visit. Head coverings are not necessary, as true penitence and humility are found within. The Priests and Priestesses of Kraden endeavor to remind all that fresh orange juice is heavily preferred; only whores use frozen.
Greetings, heathen. Perhaps some fortuitous blessing of Kraden's grace hath led you to our humble Temple, or perhaps you are simply curious about this strange and wonderful cult. Should you be willing - and dare to hope - to achieve enlightenment, the door opens before you. Lo! Leave your old life behind! For once you step through, you become something more than just yourself.

You become a Kradenette.

Are you willing to make the rapturous plunge? Do you have what it takes?

Adachi is not amused.

I wish this game had Reveal. Seriously, that was great for just standing in the middle of searchable crates and pots and just finding exactly where you need to go. When I start playing through again, I swear to Kraden, I WILL LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED.

This was one thing that did bug me. I was hoping Search or Insight would fill the same function, but no dice.

I don't like the lack of exploration after getting the boat, I mean the usage potential of each weapon between Rune Blade, Gaia Blade, Excalibur, etc. isn't very much because you can pretty much get all of them around the same time. And considering only two characters can use long swords, there might have been too much long sword class weapons.

I mean, in TLA, the amount of exploration you can do prior to the sea of time is monumental with Gaia Rocks, and Tundaria Tower and all that sexy stuff, and here we just have Hero Hill, Yamata ruin, the umbra gear mini-dungeons, and possibly the lost ship as well.

The bonus dungeons already require Sol Blade; I refuse to acknowledge anything remotely intelligent in the design of Otka Island, and the watered downed version of Crossbone isle.

Agreed. Especially because crossbone isle is supposed to be the same place, yet the rooms are completely re-done.
And now it's all ruin-ey instead of cavey.

Personally, I atribute all changes in previous game maps to the golden sun event. If you notice, Crossbone Island isn't in the same place it used to be. Kolima was moved so why couldn't Crossbone Isle? As for internal changes, it makes sense to think that the old cave (located at center of island in TBS) collapsed and a new one at the edge opened up. After all, in TBS, all we found was the pirate ship and Deadbeard. What if the captain, who is in new cave, summoned a demon, Deadbeard, to guard his trove while he died with the real treasure. It makes sense that there would be more than one hiding place.

I guess that's plausible, but I still say that DD took too many liberties from the "seismic events" of the Golden Sun. Even a [radio edit]ing 9.0 earthquake would just make a few things bounce around, a few volcanoes erupt. IT WOULD NOT MAKE ANCIENT CIVILAZATIONS POP INTO EXISTANCE LIKE THEY WERE ALWAYS THERE.

On the topic of the strongest Bow outside the Sagittarius Bow, it isn't actually the Zephyr Bow. It's actually the Silver Longbow, forged from Mythril Silver.

Yeah, I didn't like bows either. It was nice to see innovation, though.

I am furious that I didn't get to see even half the weapons here. And I shall blame it on Obaba.

THE OLD [explicit] TOOK FIVE SILVER MYTHRILS AND GAVE ME FIVE FSKING MYTHRIL CLAWS.
FIVE.
FIVE.

FIVE (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

IN A ROW.

*also got 3 useless Zol Rings in a row too* :angrymob:

...Don't Zol Rings raise agility by a shit ton? Considering that at most you'd need only one Verdant Sword, I can't see why you wouldn't want a Zol Ring unless you were going for the boots :U

You know you can just save before giving her stuff, leave Champa and then go right back in and she'll have it finished? It's more annoying than doing the Sanctum trick in TLA, but still pretty fast.

Also yeah, Zol rings are pretty sexy.

Zol Rings increase Agility by a whopping 80%. 5 Mythril Claws in a row though... damn. But yeah, you can reset for better stuff, tedious as it is. =X

Well, what I was doing with Obaba was I'd go, drop off a piece of whatever for forging, leave, do stuff, come back, get a mythril claw, give her something else, leave, do stuff, get another mythril claw, rage, and then save because I'd done so much sailing and didn't wanna do it again.

It wasn't until I went to clear out my inventory of old items that I realized that old witch had given me FIVE MYTHRIL CLAWS. But oh well.

Well, for when you next play, like Squee said, just leaving and re-entering Champa will finish the item for you =P

Yallam was the same way, Sunny; did you do that in TLA too? xD
