So, my mum has a sorely neglected XBox 360 and I've decided to get some games to play on it. I've bought Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and this is a list of the games I plan to get: Fable 3 Fallout 3 Lost Odyssey Tales of Vesperia (Though I'll leave this for last. TOS 2 is severely neglected, possibly because I can't be bothered with grinding...) Generally, I like RPGs and adventure style games (not action adventure) like Phoenix Wright or Hotel Dusk. Any recommendations? |

Halo: Reach yeah there's now way you'd like a fps like thatAnd now that I'm being serious, go get MvC3 and Soul Calibur 4 for some badass fighting games. And also Super Street Fighter 4 too I guess =\ the 360's RPG library is actually fairly lacking. |

An excellent choice, I assure you. There's also Infinite Undiscovery and Blue Dragon, both of which I have but haven't yet played... but a friend of mine who is also a big fan of RPGs says they're both awesome. I got both in Gamestation for a fiver each. I really need to get around to playing them... >_> |

If you have a gaming-capable PC, most good 360 games have a superior (and often less expensive) PC version. Oblivion and Fallout 3 being 2 of the biggest examples of this. Anyway, for RPGs you've also got the Mass Effect games. There's also Dragon Age but I found that really boring. Blue Dragon is okay I hear, it's got some similarities to Dragon Quest (most obviously the same character designer). There aren't many RPGs on the 360 and half of them have better PC versions anyway. For adventure games, I think there are a few on Xbox Live Arcade, like the Penny Arcade games (though I believe the series got cut short due to poor sales so the story is incomplete) and maybe the Sam & Max games (those might be PC-only though I don't really know). That's about it. Honestly, for the genres that you like, a 360 isn't gonna do ya much. |

Obviously Halo: Reach. =D But, of course, going the RPG route, I'd say Dragon Age: Origins. |

RPG's eh. Star Ocean, Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery and Tales of Vesperia come to mind. For survival horror...I don't know. Resident Evil 5 I guess, Dead Space also comes to mind. FPS and 3PS would be Gears of War, Halo, Left 4 Dead, CoD, Army of Two. Mass Effect fits the 3PS and RPG element, along with Alpha Protocol. Also because it was pretty fun, Just Cause 2. Fable 3 is good. I'll leave it at that. Fallout 3 is a MUST BUY. Be sure to try out New Vegas too. |

Blue Dragon is always a good choice. While the characters are kind of childish and the story is as generic as you can get, the game has charm, and a few unexpected plot twists which really got me going "Whoa, really?". Also has a good number of side quests at the end, and it will last you quite awhile. Took me around 40 hours to beat it with a few of the side quests done. And the gameplay is fantastic; it's kinda like FFV in a few ways. Also, FFXIII. Most people hated it but I thought it was great. |

Oh, I just remembered another RPG, Eternal Sonata. Again, haven't played it, but I figure I'd mention it. Heard a lot of good stuff about it. |

The only good thing about Eternal Sonata is the soundtrack, and the best song on the OST isn't even written by Sakuraba. |

I also heard the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata was better, better characterization, a new character or two on the team, etc. Although I did like the battle system, honestly. I thought the idea was neat, but thne again I played ES back before I even joined Temple. |
