Plus, if you have PP regenerating gear on your healer, a few turns of frugality always gives you time to recover. My Karis gains at least 10 PP per turn, meaning I can use Pure Wish every second turn for free. Considering his damage output, if your HP is high enough, that's more than efficient in most cases. Plus I have Rief recover 5 PP per turn, so I can rotate with him and Karis. He recovers PP while she heals and vice versa. If you can find PP recovering gear, I recommend doing so. |

The single-target one is about 25-30 PP, whereas the party ones are about 15-20. However, you can buy PP-restoring items at a couple towns - Khiren Water at one, and Ginseng at another, although I don't remember where they are or if they're still available post-eclipse. And to add on to what Bliss ninja-posted, here's what I've found: Iris Robe - 13 PP Mysterious Robe - 10 PP Mythril Circlet - 3 PP Lucky Cap - 2 PP |

Frankly, the game nearly lends you PP on a silver platter. Also, did anyone else notice a very large number of healing based Djinn this time around? I swear there were at least 2 that revived you per element, and at least one party heal per element. Actually, upon reflection, using Djinn to heal may be rough Adna. It might not be enough HP, don't they only heal as much as a single wish, or at best a little less than a Wish Well, and Star Magician may be dealing a couple hundred out per turn. You could use the damage reducing Djinn, I suppose, but it's a large commitment of party members to healing and using damage reducing Djinn. You'd need one character to use each, and then there's a turn off for them to set the Djinn back, so you either need your other two characters to do it, or to go a turn taking heavy damage. Ultimately, it would start to wear thin, and you wouldn't really be able to use your beatsticks. |

Actually I found the healing Djinn really useful. I had one of the single-person healing ones restore like 300 HP at one point. But yes, I did notice that too, Bliss, especially with the revival Djinn. It was kind of annoying that you seemed to get them all early on, too, when you're not fighting enemies strong enough to KO you anyway. |

True, but on the flipside, at least you have one or two available before you can get Revive. It used to bother me to all hell if someone died and I would have to either leave the dungeon, or have them fall woefully behind in experience because I had no way of reviving them. With the djinn you can even revive them in the same battle and not lose the exp. (I used to be very anal about keeping everyone at the same level) |

Yeah except the ones you get early on like never work. I used Jolt like ten times and it never did jack. |

I wonder if there actually is more of those djinn this time or if it just feels that way because last time the 72 djinn were split between two games. |

Only recomendation for the fight: make sure those djinni you named/need-to-use are in the right-most on the characters' arrangement so they'll be safe from the Ghoul Balls' gluttony. As for PP: Regenerating-gear + Tonfon's Ginseng and/or Ether. |

Well, here's an update, guize. I went at it with a party that was starting on Level 52. It was a piece of cake to keep up with Star Magician and his balls. I used the buff Djinn, and it was easy street. Mine Ball wasn't doing any more than 4 damage to me, and the high-level Psynergy attacks never got above 75 or so damage. I never had to use Chasm or Shell. Coral was my HP regen. I raised defense with Buckle and Brick. Resistance was done compliments of Breeze and Mellow. Stoke and Forge raised my attack. I was definitely operating on cruise control. ... I accidently killed Star Magician too soon. >____> My habit was to let him spawn Refresh Balls and let them restore all his health. My multiple-target weapon unleashes slowly but surely chipped away at his health. Well, I lost track of his HP, because after one particular Radiant Fire, he died. <_______< After a 45 minute battle, I got 300K experience and 7 levels for most party members. So the experiment was a mixed success. I determined that it's very easy to milk him for exp. But I was too powerful and killed him. |

I got about 288k, I realize from this, though, that it'll take HOURS to actually get the necessary exp for level 99... |

Several of them. Like, 10 or 12, minimum. Probably closer to 24. |

It's quite well known that you get a lot more EXP on this game. Imagine doing this on TLA. >.> |

Oddly, as much as this happened to me in TBS and TLA, I have never once had a revival of any kind not stick on DD, nor have I ever had a djinni run away from me on DD. I'm surprised this gets asked so much. The reasoning's fairly simple; you have a game the length of TBS with the same amount of djinni as TBA and TLA combined. Overflow ensues. On a more on topic note, will have to give this a go at some point. |

What I was saying was that I wonder if there's the same amount of djinn that specifically revive, not do anything else; I already know there's 72 (or 83 if you count Isaac and Garet's) total djinn in DD just like how there was 72 in the first two games combined. |

Hmm... That, I do not know. The djinni that revive in DD are Teardrop, Jolt, Cinder, Glow and Tinder. So there be 5, for reference. Can't tell you how many revivers were in TLA, never got 'em all on that. |
