That's right - I have a project. And it's misnamed. Whatever. Okay, here's the deal. My party (Matthew, Sveta, Amiti, Eoleo) is just a shade over level 40. After a conversation with Saturos, I have decided that I want to fight Star Magician and his many balls and get all the way to level 99 in one fell hours-long swoop. I've given some thought on how I should do this. I'm going to do a semi-regular rotation of Shell and Chasm to keep party damage low, and I'll be utilizing Coral for damage recovery purposes. I haven't decided what I'm going to do about losing Psynergy yet. I've got Amiti in a class setup where he has Wish (he's a better version of Rief now). Isaac has the Levatine, and Eoleo has the Verdant Sword. They, along with Beast Sveta (maybe), will be my beatsticks. I haven't decided how I'm going to use Sveta yet, actually. Details will be forthcoming. I'll probably do this on Friday when I have no work. Does anybody have any advice? |

I'm pretty sure the Star Magician's balls don't give experience anymore :U |

I gained loads of levels from that battle so I am sure that they do. To bad this isn't on an emulator/a way to record footage from the DS. I would have loved to hear commentary from you as you are doing this. |

If they don't, the Star Magician herself gives a ridiculous amount of experience since several people (myself included) have had party members level up twice after the battle. |

Thanks Poui.

They do. People have reportedly got 14 levels from beating SM. That said, focus on the Chasm Balls or whichevr ones are the ones that eat your djinn. Also have two revives on your team, if at all possible. |

...Huh. That what I get for finishing fast by using Sveta's beast form. Don't mind me then. |

The Balls do give experience. I ran two trial battles. One where I beat the shit out of Star Magician, and one where I dallied and delayed, thereby being a champion Ball Slayer. I got a ton more experience from the the battle where I was dicking around the whole time. EDIT: lol'd hard |

Be thankful the DS has a sleep mode. Do you plan to do some recording whether on an emulator or off screen on an actual DS? You know, for people to see the insane level ups. |

It's on DS, so no clean screenshot will be available. That would elicit cries of "haxx" if it got circulated anyhow. However, I'll see if I can take a somewhat clean picture of the number of experience points I get. And when I'm done, maybe I'll be able to OHKO those annoying Shadow Skorpnas. I hate those things and their Drag Down. |

![]() Also, Adna, do you plan on leveling everyone to 99 with this or just your main team? I imagine it'd take a lot longer for your reserve party. |

Adna, for your PP worries, there are some djinn that restore PP to either one person or to the active party. Use them. |

Are they actually useful, or are they like the bullshitty Ember of the TLA cartridges that only restored 10-15 PP per pop? |

well there's certainly more of them, so you should be fine. See if any enemies drop psynergy crystals, and the tua warriors will give you shittons of WoLs |

Sound the horn and call the cry: "How many of them can we make die?"
![]()

I think they're a bit better, more along the lines of 20-30 each. But I never really ever got low on PP to begin with, so I didn't use them much. |
